RE: How many readers read our articles...? / Wie viele Leser lesen unsere Beiträge denn nun...?

How on earth did I miss all this conversation:(
I'm so late to the party...
Maybe I was way too engrossed in compiling, reading and re-reading my very technical blog. Or as Bambuka says: taking the bull by it's horns...😂😎

Will you believe? I read the whole post and all the following comments. Will be reading again, maybe, tomorrow. There is another baby on the board.
I agree with chriddi on her views! Voting and reading later is also kind of my thing too. But I do skim through before voting. You know when something is good and when it isn't. Not that hard to tell.
When I first joined the platform, I specifically asked Hira, 'do people still read in this era of videos and binge watching' (I'm guilty myself) and she assured me that it was the case. However I was still skeptical.
I have now formed my own opinions which I care to share 🫣
Yes, it's extremely difficult sometimes to read very long texts, but not, if you connect to the author on some level. And then, it might not necessarily appeal to you to get a vote out from you. For example regarding my post on sidechains; you didn't find it interesting maybe, but you somehow knew that it was an honest effort.

But you have a point; and it's always good to communicate. What's the harm in that!!!

No problem - it's a world wide web and quite easy to get lost ;-))

And of course you are right: I wouldn't vote before reading. I wouldn't vote without reading. Sometimes I give votes for texts I'm not really interested in or with lower quality, because I like the author. Or because of his situation. It's a wide field.

But the main thing is: we are writers and readers ;-))
