Nature Motivation Show - #6 - Purple Petals / Lila Blütenblätter

Hello lovely Hiveans and Nature Lovers !

Now that you are all locked up in your accommodations for the next few weeks it is so hard to stay in touch with the beauties of nature out there. So I decided to launch this Nature Motivation Show for you ^^ It will contain 10 episodes and will be published over two weeks. Each day I will present to you one of those episodes, with collected footage from the Botanical Gardens Bochum and the Hohenstein National Park in Witten, so that you can stay sane and still feel like a creation of our Mother Earth, and not like another piece of furniture of your accommodation ;) .. I will cover trees,bushes, carnivorous plants and beautiful flowers, wild forest animals and petting zoo animals, fungi and much more for you 😜 .. Today's episode is about Purple Petals.

German: Jetzt, da wir alle für die nächsten Wochen eingesperrt sind, ist es schwer, in Kontakt mit den Schönheiten der Natur da draußen zu bleiben. Also habe ich beschlossen diese Nature Motivation Show für euch zu starten ^^ Es wird über 2 Wochen insgesamt 10 Episoden geben. Jeden Tag werde ich eine vorstellen, mit Aufnahmen aus dem Botanischen Garten Bochum und dem Nationalpark Hohenstein in Witten, damit ihr euch weiterhin wie eine Schöpfung unserer Mutter Erde fühlen könnt, und nicht wie ein weiteres Möbelstück eurer Wohnung ;) .. Ich werde Bäume, Sträucher, fleischfressende Pflanzen und schöne Blumen, Waldtiere und Streichelzootiere, Pilze und vieles mehr für euch abdecken .. In der heutigen Folge geht es um Lila Bluetenblaetter

Thunbergia Erecta : The King's Mantle

The Thunbergia erecta is climbing plant native to western Africa. It grows shrubs which get as high as 120 cm. The flowers are especially beautiful and get as long as 6.5 cm . They possesses a long curved-shaped funnels and five large and deep violet petals with a yellowish-white throat. They are very adaptable and can easily grow in sunny and shady places at temperatures down to 0°C, are adaptable to nearly every type of soil and only need moderate amount of water.

German: Die Thunbergia erecta ist eine Kletterpflanze, die in Westafrika beheimatet ist. Sie wächst Sträucher, welche bis zu 120 cm hoch werden. Die Blüten sind besonders schön und werden bis zu 6,5 cm lang. Sie besitzen einen langen gekrümmten Trichter und fünf große und tiefviolette Blütenblätter mit gelblich-weißer Kehle. Sie sind sehr anpassungsfähig und können leicht an sonnigen und schattigen Stellen bei Temperaturen bis zu 0°C wachsen, sind an nahezu jede Art von Boden anpassbar und benötigen nur mäßige Wassermengen.

Primula Denticulata : The Drumstick Primula

The Primula Denticulata is common in the moist regions of Afghanistan to West-China, India, Kashmir, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. The flower usually grows in open and loose bushes that can get up to 50 cm high. The petals are oval shaped and have a intense purple color and a length of 1.2 cm. The stamen in the middle have a pink color and can get up to 6 mm long. Multiple flowers will grow together to spherical shape in the end.

German: Die Kugel-Primula ist in von den feuchten Regionen Afghanistans bis nach Westchina, Indien, Kaschmir, Myanmar, Nepal und Pakistan verbreitet. Diese Blume wächst in der Regel in offenen und lockeren Büschen, die bis zu 50 cm hoch werden können. Die Blütenblätter sind oval geformt und haben eine intensive violette Farbe und eine Länge von 1,2 cm. Das Staubblatt in der Mitte hat eine rosa Farbe und wird bis zu 6 mm lang. Mehrere Blüten wachsen letztendlich zu einer grossen Kugel zusammen.

Polygala Myrtifolia : The Myrtle-leaf Milkwort

The Polygalia is native to the South Africa. It grows in shrubs that can get as high as 1.5 m and blossom near the whole year. She prefers the direct sun and temperatures around 25°C and soil that consists of at least 20% sand. The flowers petals have a pink or purple color and characteristic brush-like fascicle at the end. This flower is also known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties.

German: Die Polygalia stammt aus Südafrika. Sie wächst in Sträuchern, die bis zu 1,5 m hoch werden können und fast das ganzen Jahr blühen. Sie bevorzugt die direkte Sonne und Temperaturen von 25°C und einen Boden, der aus mindestens 20% Sand besteht. Die Blütenblätter haben eine rosa oder lila Farbe und charakteristische pinselartige Faszikel am Ende. Diese Blume ist auch für ihre antibakteriellen und antimykotischen Eigenschaften bekannt.

Verbena Rigida : The Tuberous Vervain

The tuberous vervain is is native to Brazil and Argentina and enjoys the sunny coastal regions there. It has this beautiful rough and fluffy hairy look and grows in bushes which can get as high as 80 cm. Each single flower on that brush possesses five petals with an intense violet color which are all fused together into a narrow and curved 10 mm long tube.

German: Die Steife Eisenkraut stammt aus Brasilien und Argentinien und genießt dort die sonnigen Küstenregionen. Es hat diese schöne raue und flauschige haarige Optik und wächst in Büschen, die bis zu 80 cm hoch werden können. Jede einzelne Blüte auf diesen Pinseln besitzt fünf Blütenblätter mit einer intensiven violetten Farbe, die alle zu einem schmalen und gekrümmten 10 mm langen Rohr verschmolzen sind.
