My daughter's pullover 2 / 子どものセーター2着目
Last weekend I finished knitting my daughter's sweater. By seeing the size difference, I see she grew up a lot recent years. I knit the left one in autumn 2017 around the time I found Needlework Monday on Steemit. I extended the sleeves and body of the old one time by time. She still wears it but it'll be too tight next winter. No more extension possible ;)
The pattern is not available any more on Ravelry and I lost the copy ... Also I wanted to make front neck a bit lower than back side. So this time I started making my own pattern.
Starting from the neck, with short rows gradually increase to front, I could make the neck to an ideal shape. I keep sleeves aside and knit down the body.

Initially a sleeve was too wide and long so I had to adjust it. And ja, I unraveled it quite a lot when I noticed I knitted it too tight with a slimmer needle ... that's knitting.
Still some more proof knitting is needed but I wish I can make a pattern someday to encourage mamas and papas and others to knit a pullover for kids, which can be worn for years! It was really a nice experience that I could make one of the most long lasting clothes for my daughter by myself. There are a lot of nice clothes at stores but I'm proud on the sweater I knitted.
I'll start my daughter's summer sweater next weekend for another proof knitting (excuse?? :D). She asked me to make a bright green one.
As always, she didn't stop moving for a photo ...
週末に子どものセーターを編み終わりました。2年ちょっと前に作った一つ目のセーターと比べると大きい・・・！日々もりもり赤ちゃんから子どもになったことを実感します。
グレーのセーターは袖をのばし、胴をのばし、2017年から2019年まで3冬着られたのですが、さすがに次の冬はぴっちぴちになりそうです。ちょうどNeedlework Mondayに参加し始めた頃に編んだ思い出深いセーターです。
当時使った編み図はもうRaverlyではダウンロードできず、コンピューターにも見当たらず、前身頃の首回りを少し下げたかったので今回は頭の中で編み図を作りながら（といっても簡単なトップダウンの編み方ですが・・・）編みました。細い針できつく編み過ぎてしまってほどいて、袖が太く長くなってしまってほどいて、進んでは戻ってを繰り返しながら完成しました。That's knittingです。。
子どもが明るい緑のセーターがほしいというので、編み図の書き起こしもかねて（言い訳www）次の週末から編み始めようと思います。
お店にはいろいろな素敵な子ども服がありますが、一番長く着てくれている服のひとつが自分の作ったものってとてもうれしいです。こんな体験をほかのお母さん、お父さん、子どもがまわりにいる人たちに伝えられないかなとパターン作りを夢見ています。オープンソース、CCのパターンにしてもいいんですよね。妄想が止まりません！
