I Want to Talk About Turkish Mezes

Merhaba arkdaşlar. Sizlere birkaç Türk mezesinden bahsetmek istiyorum.

Hello fellows. I would like to tell you about a few Turkish appetizers.

Özellikle balık restoranlarında Peynir ve Patlıcan mutlaka bulunur. Balık restoranlarındaki müşterilerin çoğu rakı içerler. Rakının yanında beyaz peynir tüketirler. Patlıcan salatası da yine rakının yanında yedikleri mezeler arasında.

Especially in fish restaurants, Cheese and Eggplant are definitely available. Most of the customers in fish restaurants drink raki. They consume white cheese with raki. Eggplant salad is also among the appetizers they eat alongside raki.

Patlıcan çeşitleri arasında yoğurtlu kızartma patlıcan da bulunur. Çok fazla tüketilen mezeler arasındadır. Resimde üst ortada bulunan meze ise isli uskumrudur. Balıkla yapılan mezelerdendir.

Eggplant varieties include fried eggplant with yoghurt. It is among the most consumed appetizers. The appetizer in the upper middle of the picture is smoked mackerel. It is an appetizer made with fish.

Resimdeki üst sol kısımda bulunan mezenin ismi Girit ezmesi. İçinde beyaz peynir, fesleğen ve avokado vardır. İzmir yöresine ait bir mezedir. Onun yanında bulunan meze yoğurtlu semizotu. Resimde altta bulunan yeşil renkli meze ise deniz börülcesidir. Tüm balık restoranlarında bulunur. Taze deniz börülcesi yaz aylarında olur. Deniz börülcesi haşlandıktan sonra sarımsaklı zeytinyağı sosu ile servis edilir.

The name of the appetizer in the upper left part of the picture is Cretan paste. It contains feta cheese, basil and avocado. It is an appetizer from the Izmir region. The appetizer next to it is purslane with yoghurt. The green-colored appetizer at the bottom of the picture is sea beans. Available in all fish restaurants. Fresh sea beans are available in summer. After the sea beans are boiled, they are served with garlic olive oil sauce.
