Round 1 - Question 9

This one seems more like a riddle, I was looking for famous places with gay happy faces...

I found that Montreal, Canada, is one of the most gay-friendly city, and that there is a famous place that has many murals... spectacular... I still can't exactly find the face, but the place is a spectacle: https://www.getyourguide.com/montreal-l195/montreal-street-art-mural-25-hour-guided-walking-tour-t270487/

I'll keep looking...

Although I already saw the triumphal arch below hahaha...

😆 I should’ve thought of that! I thought the smiley face would be so distracting … (which I see it was)

Yes, it was a big distraction 😅

Lo es, yo no llegué a verle figura hasta que vi que dijeron que es el Arco de Tito en Italia

Stonewall Inn, New York,USA. Correct?

❌ bluelavender got it correct

It could also be the Arch of Constantine (Rome, Italy).

There are like 7 more arches...

Congratulations I missed again 😭😭😭

This one's tough though, I had to do a bit of research😅

I was hoping it would be tougher... can you divulge how you solved this one?

You should consider touch locations / buildings of some small countries , so everyone get some time to search.

Don't worry, I've included a couple of more difficult ones. I'm going to remove and rethink the easier ones though.

Ok am waiting for that

I simply searched famous cathedral in the world

I should probably change the round to "Obscure Landmarks" 😆

You still have the rest of the year to fine-tune the difficulty level 😆

Round 1 - Question 8

Beijing National Stadium, China

I'd hoped this one would be more difficult.

It was though...until I added the magic word🫢

I imagine the magic word is: famous places...🤔

I think @the-gorilla has had enough of the word 'famous' 😅

The magic word was 'elliptical.' I thought the word resembled the shape of the structure when viewed from above...

I believe it was affectionately nicknamed "The Bird's Nest". It's clearer in the day time photos - which is why I chose a night one!

And your cleverness paid off. Sort of. 😅

Round 1 - Question 6

The Women's Titanic Memorial of Washington, DC

I almost gave up on this one. I had to repeatedly tweak my keywords—from "famous statues" to "lesser-known statues," and finally to "list of statues in every country." 😄

I'm pleased that it took longer 😅

I'm worried that you'll get at least 2 of the last 3 too quickly. I might change them this morning 😆

I might change them this morning

It turns out, we’ve already missed 7 questions.

I already have questions for @the-gorilla at this stage. How do you actually imagine this? Do you expect people to literally live under your post since you don’t tag participants? And there's also the factor of different time zones: for some people, it’s night, and they are sleeping. I definitely don’t have time to 'camp' under someone’s post waiting for new questions :-D Today, I remembered about it because I was still curious to see how the game starts, and now I see that the rules are poorly thought out. Maybe I’m wrong and misunderstood something? That’s why I tagged other participants to hear your impressions.

We are in the same time zone and so is @goodybest and like you I find it hard to scroll through all those comments to find what is posted. It looks very chaotic to me and to be fair it hurts my head. I don't think I can participate this way. I already said this to @inspiracion. Can be my brain works differently, I don't know but it doesn't bring fun if I have no clue where to find what and what to do.

You're right, I couldn't find the questions immediately.

But I believe we'll still have fun with time, so let's follow the due process

Yes, this time I completely agree with you, Kitty. And I have already very politely mentioned this to the game starter. To be honest, the game doesn't leave much room for participation for people who are busy with many other things. Maybe by the second week, he will make some adjustments to the process and the rules.

The second round has been slower, because the questions are different. The rules for this second and third round have also been modified, there in the post the author has edited it.

However, I agree with you that it has become difficult to find the questions among so many comments. I still hope that things become more practical over time.
