RE: ❓Steemit Quiz 2025 - Week 12

in NO Community9 months ago

Ok, the answer is: It depends

If the number drawn does not have any duplicates, e.g. 123, then you could win up to 923 STEEM

If there is a single duplicate, e.g. 122, then you could win up to 824 STEEM

This is because there are fewer possibilities of your super number being matched, due to the duplicate number.

If there are 3 duplicates, e.g. 111, then you could win up to 725 STEEM

The reason being, if there are 3 duplicates, then if your super number is matched, you can only get the 5 STEEM and never the 1 STEEM.

My goodness that's the longest answer it seems 😅🤣

It depends or I would have accepted 725 to 1040.

Anyway mathematically most probable answer is 896 STEEM if all the winning numbers are Unique. @henryclive got that correct. (Half a point)

  • According to Brute-Force Logic its 1040 STEEM (If you run it by a code it will always show this number).

  • One Duplicate (e.g., 122, 332, 455) around 824 STEEM

  • Triple (e.g., 111, 222) around 725 STEEM

Half a point to @the-gorillla understanding the lottery logic.

Hope you all can forgive me for that stupid question, I’ll bring a stronger one next time for sure 👍

Shucks, I didn't consider the duplicates and triples! I was assuming a drawn number like 123 all unique digits. 😅 Not a stupid question at all - you stirred things up for sure. But the-gorilla showed us the light!

Percentage wise that will be the most case I believe.
