Strolling through the Louvre [Short story]

Marianna has already traveled Paris several times. The gatherings in the cafés, with the companions of the trip, were endless and pleasant but the discussions about the Monalisa became tedious. Everyone had a view of Da Vinci's portrait and she has not yet gone to the Louvre.

She decided, mentally, to go to the famous museum almost exclusively to look face to face with the great work of the Italian painter. Without finishing her glass of red wine, from the lands of Bordeaux, she suddenly said goodbye to her friends telling them that she's tired. Everyone sees her move away to the subway station that is very close and finally disappears into the crowd.

That night, after a light dinner, in the hotel room, bought an online ticket to face, the next day, the woman in the painting.

The morning was sunny with cold air that announced the arrival of autumn. Marianna was excited about her decision to enter the Louvre. This was the fourth time visited Paris in her life and never gone there. She did not regret not having gone, but finally had the necessary impulse to go to the old palace of the French monarchy.

While traveling through the subway, Marianna thought she was not a person who liked art, so she justified her detachment from such places.

She felt a great shudder when she looked at the inverted pyramid and something inside her made her doubt before entering the Museum, but she moved on.

Upon receiving the welcome information booklet, he anxiously searched for the reason for his visit. She began to walk blindly among the hundreds of visitors to reach the wall where the Monalisa was. Climbed a ladder whose railing was curved by the passage of hands that over time had leaned on its. That feeling caused chills.

Saw, with great surprise, that he had to make a long line to face the enigmatic figure. Then, everything was happening vertiginously. Marianna was there and the Gioconda was there. She looked at her for seconds and a hand, very kindly, indicated that she should follow. Her feet reacted and walked.

Not satisfied with that brief moment Marianna returned to the end of the queue and did so about six times. That woman's face had been a crucial discovery. Her smile indicated the way of seeing life; the side of the smile represented for Marianna's eyes a clear horizon with green landscapes and the scent of wild flowers, at the edge of the road.

Shortly after that experience Marianna studied plastic arts. Always drew contrasting landscapes and in the exhibits he indicated that it was a recreation of the Monalisa.

I have made this text with the aim of contributing to the SteemHouse community of writers and giving the publication's photograph content. It is not a contest, it is the opportunity to meet in fiction and develop the art of writing.

Thank you for reading.

Also, Michel and my friend @martiawilson visited the Louvre back in August. Apparently the Mona Lisa was quite a bit smaller than either of them had expected. LOL

Hi @rhondak, thank you for the invitation to discord and for this new initiative for writers.
The Monalisa can offer thousands of stories and really is a small painting lol

I hope you continue! Is that really what it's like viewing the Mona Lisa? I've never had the opportunity, and I understand the issues with keeping the crowd moving so everyone gets a chance to see it, but I'd still be pretty miffed.

Thank you so much for participating! You can find your post featured in the Steemhouse collection of prompts here.
