What is shake your steem power through powering up?

This is a contest that is brought to the general world of football community. All what the contest is about is to shake or make a significant change in your steem power through powering up. In simple terms it can be called powering up. The percentage increase in the steem power of an individual account is what will be used to determine the winner of this particular contest and that is where its name was obtained from. “Shake your steem power”.

Why Shake your steem power?

---

Since the introduction of the #club5050, #club75 and #club100 initiative, I think majority of the blockchain members have been able to join either one or two of this initiative. However, others have been finding it difficult to join any of the above initiatives due to many reasons best known to them. Although to the best of my knowledge most were complaining that the introduction of the initiative was too instant and as at the time of introduction, the difference between the amount they have transferred to those they have powered up was huge for them to recover.

Having said that, I have observed that our community has not been receiving much attention from the curators because of these reasons as compared to other communities on the platform.

It is therefore as a result of this that I am presenting this contest to help motivate our community members to join any of the club initiatives given above. In others words, the purpose of this contest is to extend helping hands to those who are not part of the club5050 to join it, also for those in #club5050 to join #club75 and those in #club75 to strive to join #club100

What is required to participate in the contest?

The contest is basically powering up, it is therefore required to have SBD which will be use to obtain steem or be in the possession of steem which will be use in doing the powering up. It will be required to give an explanation of the benefits of powering up and some description on how to power up (optional). A screenshot of wallet before and after powering up.

CONTEST RULES:

• Make a post of not less than 250 words explaining in your own words what “shake your steem power means”? what power up is and the benefits of powering up.

• A screenshot of your total steem power before and after powering up must be included as shown in the example below.

• Use images created by you or copyright free.

• Plagiarism is strictly prohibited; publications will be reviewed thoroughly.

• Invite 3 friends outside the community to join and participate in the contest.

• Leave the link to your entry in the comment section of this post.

• Use markdown and be creative.

How the results will be determined

---

80% of the makes will be allocated to the percentage increase in your steem power. The rest of the 20% will be for the creativity and abiding by the rules of the contest.

NOTE;

The % increase in steem power is what will be used in the calculation of the 80%.
Therefore, using my account for example my total STEEM POWER is 1,427.128. I then make a power up 180.70 STEEM as shown below.

It simply means that my % increase in STEEM POWER is given by

(180.700/180.700+1427.128)*100
= 11.238%

In this case the individual with the highest % increase in steem will have the full 80%, the next one will be 75%, 70% and it will continue in that order. The other 20% will then be added to determine the overall winner of the contest.
