RE: DAILY FOOTBALL CHALLENGE [20/01/2022] - WHAT IS THE BEST DEFENSIVE STRATEGY IN A FOOTBALL MATCH?
For me the best form of defense is the dominating and possessive one. I like when a team starts play from the back and is able to keep the ball away from the opponent.
I prefer playing a possessive and dominating at that will involve the keeper and defense so that they won't loose focus in the match and the team will be able to hold the ball and move the ball in their own pace and plan. Another important aspect of the plan is to be able to camp and get the ball back from the opponent as quickly as possible when we loose the ball. When a team is able to do these things it will be hard for the opponent to play and execute their gameplan and also play as a team, because their morale and hope will be shattered by the dominance of the team.
So for me the best form of defense is the possessive one, that involves all the players and team, instead of the defenders only. Being able to hold and build play from the back till they frustrate the opponent and get a clear chance to score.
This is good. It prevents unnecessary possession loss. Thank you.
