Lanzini came in as a substitute in the last minutes and changed the game at the very last moment with a sensational goal, this is the English Premier league and anything is possible, if it wasn't EPL you would think that was scripted. You got to love these League, Tottenham Hotspurs maintains the lead with a 3 goals difference until the 81st minute but everything starts to change in favour of Westham United in the 82nd minute and they manage to go away with a point after full time. Absolutely stunning performance displayed by Westham in the last minutes, the momentum and energy boosted right after their first goal gave them the final unexpected results. I must say Tottenham underestimated the possibility of West Ham recovering from the 3 goals conceded in first half and that explains why they stayed comfortable for the 65 minutes but later started panicking after conceding a second goal hence losing focus and unable to defend the lead.
An own goal from Sanchez, the unexpected substitution decision by the manager, I'm pretty sure he was confident it was a sealed deal and they had secured the points because personally I wouldn't expect him to get Son Heung-Min off the pitch because he looked like he could push through. Son has a lot to offer and he's one of the Tottenham players that are optimistic and ready to fight until the last minute to change the game in their favor. West Ham getting a point was very far from my expectations but it's premiere league, it's never over until it's over.
Castagne made all the effort and picks himself back up to secure an opportunity, he does his task, defends really well and he's always ready to go forward and of course some great saves from Martinez. After half with no chance of any team hitting the back of the net you would expect a great game in second half and that's exactly what happened, both teams adding more pressure and Madison coming in a few minutes into second half. They sure needed Madison's creativity on the pitch, he needs to come in if they want to put on a great challenge.
Barkley seeing the back of the net and giving Aston Vila that lead three minutes to the end of full time after so many attempts was all the club needed. They came in second half ready for a challenge, they put up a great challenge and they went away with three points. Aston Vila would be happier taking a point from King Power Stadium but securing all three points was absolutely incredible and unexpected because looking at the play you would have thought the game was heading into a draw.

Nice review. Tottenham really surprised me a lot. I thought they had secured 3 points with a home win. My jaw dropped when I saw the score line later along the second half of the game. Mourinho would be devastated. How could you be leading with three goals and let your opponent tie it up. Many other teams drew this weekend : Liverpool, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and now Tottenham. I guess we are in for lots of surprises this season. Do you think Tottenham will do well this season?
Sure I will. We've so far had quite a number of surprises and at this point I expect more. I think Tottenham has put up a good game this season and if they keep up the momentum, eliminate the silly mistakes from both the couch and players they may have a good season.
I couldn't see the match but based on the stats I saw, Harry Kane was on top form. I agree with you on the mistakes part. I think if they got rid of those they would do well.
