BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! FEROCITY.....
In my continued effort to bring you low quality, repetitive, cyclical, drivel on a weekly basis, in a change from the precious metals related rhetoric i usually bang on about, i now offer to you my loyal followers, a bang average #splinterlands blog.
Without much thought, or deep contemplation, ill be sharing with you few brave souls that have taken the time to read this post, my weekly BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!. The "share your battle" challange has ended, where the @splinterlands team asked you to share a battle with a specific monster, and now its more about a specific ruleset. This new weekly challenge definitely has its upside, as it allows a wider audience to take part, even when their battle decks are limited.
This week, the team over at #splinterlands has asked us to share a battle with the ruleset "FEROCITY". As the name suggests, all monsters taking part in the battle gain the ferocity ability! Monsters with this ability do double damage to targets with the Taunt ability.
This ruleset, can completely flip a battle on its head! Conventional battle plans go straight out the window, it also creates a whole new style of play. If you enjoy using a solid tank or tail-gunner with taunt, beware..... That poor monster is getting a beat down.
Lets go play #splinterlands...... Its not like you can pick and choose the rulesets for every battle! After playing what seemed like my full allocation of 50 battles, i finally came across the ruleset i was waiting for:
But doing what #splinterlands does best, they threw a spanner in the works by adding an additional ruleset alongside FEROCITY just to mess with my mind and really get me thinking.
Taking these rulesets in to consideration and the summoner choices available to me, I actually decided that for this specific battle, with these specific ruleset, I would pick my tried and tested LVL5 ALRIC STORMBRINGER to use some pretty hard hitting water splinter, magic monsters. I know i have a few "flying" ability magic monster that wont feel the effect of EARTHQUAKE, so thatceill be beneficial.
As you can see, a very attack minded lineup. Heavily defended at the front with my Djinn Oshannus followed by my Prismatic Energy and a higb health Nerissa Trident holding gernown at the rear. Throw in to the mix two "flying" monsters in my Phantom of the sea and Sea Genie, to combat "earthquake" and my lvl 3 Ruler of the seas to increase speed, reduce my opponents magic attack, this team is going to be hard to beat!!!

Once the two teams are revealed, I always have a quick look at my opponents set up, before hitting rumble. I like to playout in my head how i think the battle will unfold. I try and predict what i think the outcome may be, and judge how well my opponents have set up thier team.
So can my lvl 5 summoner take out my opponents lvl 6 summoner?? Its going to be tough.... They defhave some decent monsters out on display.
The stage was set, two strong summoners, with great teams are sure to give a great battle.
My strong magic attack made short work of his tank, the forst round was definitely a win for my team.
Round two carried off where round one ended..... Total attack from my team. His Djinn fell, followed by his Nerissa leaving two weaker monsters to try and turn it around.
If youve watched this battle in full, you will see how easily i actually managed to work my way through my opponents team. It goes to show how powerful a well balanced magic attack team can be.
I checked using the SPLINTERTOOL page, the battle shows me as having a 0% of pulling of a win. Which probably means, we are eternally destined to play out draw after draw after draw.
