Badshahi Mosque Lahore

Today, I am going to pin the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore on Steem Atlas. First of all, let's look at its history. This mosque is very old and was built in the historic city of Lahore, Pakistan, during the Mughal era. Thousands of years ago, there was Mughal rule over Pakistan. After that, the British came to power. And now Pakistan has come into existence. This thousand-year-old mosque remains standing today, and people visit it as a cultural site to examine its history and view the artifacts created during that period.

The main exterior of the Badshahi Mosque is beautifully designed, with three domes and a minaret at each of the four corners, and is adorned with smaller minarets, which further enhance its beauty.

Inside Mosque

First of all, let's talk about its main entrance. Its main interest is right in front of the Shahi Fort, on one side of which is the shrine of Allama Iqbal, and on the other side, you get to see a famous and historical library. On the third side, you will see the Minar of Pakistan, and in front, you will see the Badshahi Fort, and from there, its main entrance is.

Among all the historical things, this mosque is beautiful. Its main interest is that as soon as we enter, the first thing we see is the terrace, which will be visible to you on all sides of the entire mosque. A terrace has been built around the entire mosque from where you can stand and see the outside view. On one side, you will see the royal fort, on the other side, you will see the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal, and on the third side, you will see the Minar of Pakistan.

The shape of all the verandas built around the mosque is the same. If you stand on one side and look, you will see small steps, but there is no difference in each step. You cannot compare each step with the other because there is not even the slightest difference between them. Everything has been made very well. And in this veranda, you can see the facility of clean water for drinking, water for performing ablution, and similarly, washrooms have also been built so that those who come to the mosque can perform ablution here, offer prayers, drink cold water, and fulfill their needs.

Clean Water Facilitation

The courtyard of the Badshahi Mosque is so large that more than one hundred thousand people can pray at a time. Its courtyard is so open, and fountains have been installed in the middle of this courtyard, which further enhances the beauty of the mosque. Good tiles have been installed below, which are clean. Special care is taken of cleanliness because people come here to visit, and some people come from abroad and explore the culture here.

Veranda / Balcony

You can see big and small minarets all around the mosque, and the special thing about this mosque is that the design of the entire exterior will look the same. Its color is the same, and if we look closely at the design, it becomes clear to us what we have come to see, because here we are seeing the culture of the old Mughal era, how they used to prepare things, so even today these things are still standing and are rich in beauty.

Mosque Minarets

Now let's talk about the interior of the mosque. The interior of the mosque is very beautiful. Marble has been installed at the bottom, Tom, and different types of designs have been made on the walls. All these things determine the things of that time. At that time, how things were prepared during the Mughal era and what design was kept, we get to see all of that in this mosque. As I said, the floor has been repaired at the bottom, beautiful designs have been made on the walls, and you will see that the design of each thing is the same. It is not that the design is different in any one part.

Mosque Interior

Talking about the ceiling of the interior of the mosque, the domes that have been built there have also been designed inside them, and different types of chandeliers have been installed on the ceiling, which further enhance its beauty. These chandeliers were also installed during the Mughal period. From their shape and design, we know how old they are, but even to this day, their brilliance is intact, and they look very beautiful.

Mosque Roof

When we enter the middle of this mosque, we see some rows laid out there where we pray, and this is a good arrangement here for the Imam of the mosque and for all the worshippers. A timepiece has been installed here, which sounds an alarm for every five daily prayers, and the timing is written on it, so we can estimate the time of the prayer by looking at it. A member has been created for the Imam of the Mosque, where the Imam of the Mosque sits and delivers the Friday sermon and speech.

Prayer Place

Since this mosque is very large, whenever the call to prayer is given, the sound of the call to prayer must reach every corner, and the sound is also heard in the surrounding areas, for which speakers have been arranged. You will see a speaker in every corner of the mosque because whenever the call to prayer is given, or prayers are offered, we get access to the sound in every corner. In every corner, we feel as if we are standing near the Imam and leading the prayer.

Speakers At Every Corner of the Mosque

The fans that are in the ceilings are not installed in the interior of the mosque because the environment inside is very cold here, but a stand fan has been placed below it, which is for the convenience of all the worshippers. When they pray here, these fans are installed for them in the summer season so that they are not bothered by the heat. Furthermore, a cupboard has been placed in this mosque in which the Holy Quran has been kept. People take out the Holy Quran from there, sit here and read it, and put it back inside. In this way, all the Islamic papers and books are kept inside this cupboard.

Standing in the courtyard of this mosque, when we look from the sides, we see the domes and minarets, which look even more beautiful because their exterior is in the same design and is made with good materials and good colors, which adds to their beauty. When we look at each thing, we feel as if these things were made just today. How old is this mosque? Thousands of years old, but even today, its brilliance and color are absolutely fresh.

Mosque Side View

Mosque Side View

We see an open ground all around this mosque. If we come from the north of this mosque, we see the ground with the Minar-e-Pakistan. If we come from the south, there is also an open ground outside the mosque. Similarly, if we come from the side of the Badshahi Fort, an open ground has also been made in front of it, and beautiful plants have been planted in it. Grass has been planted, and this ground has been made very beautiful.

Ground Around Mosque

As I mentioned Badshahi Mosque is located in the middle of all the famous things. On the right side of the main entrance stairs of this Badshahi Mosque, we see the statue of Allama Iqbal, which is in a small, closed room. Our Allama Iqbal is the poet of Pakistan, who has also been given the title of the poet of the East. Similarly, just opposite the main entrance of this mosque is the Badshahi Fort, which was built here during the Mughal era, and the king used to stay there.

Some Picture At Badshahi Mosque

In today's era, if you want to mention something old or explore something old, then I would recommend you visit the famous city of Lahore in Pakistan, where you get to see many such things that were built during the Mughal era. Things built thousands of years ago are still standing today. Among all these things, this mosque, the Badshahi Mosque, is very famous.
