THE DIARY GAME:14/09/2020: CBR Test done at university and enjoyable day

Today second academic week was started therefore I woke up 7.00 a.m. went to the university. I took my breakfast at university canteen and after that, I went to the highway engineering laboratory of our civil engineering department.

Today I had some practical session for highway engineering module. Its name was the CBR test. Meaning of CBR test is the California Bearing Ratio test. It is done for a soil sample which is taken by the proposed road site. Usually, this test is done to find the soil strength. When we design a road, we must find the strength of soil therefore we have to do these kinds of experiments. Say the least about the testing procedure first we mixed the soil sample with water and the soil was compacted to the standard mould using rammer as three layers each layer should compact by ten blows. After flat, the sample surfaces and the weight of the sample were measured. Then it placed on the loading machine and take the readings about loading and penetration.

After the practical session, I took my lunch by university canteen and then I came to my hostel room. After taking bath I took a small nap. And in the evening we make tea in our hostel room. We bring some biscuit and eat it with tea for teatime.

At the night we participated in some birthday party of our hostel mate. He arranges some party for us and then we participated in that party. We eat some tasty fried rice and Kottu roti. Those foods are so much taste. He brought some coca-cola bottles for us and we drank those cool drinks. Then we sang hundred of songs with excellent guitar play of our friends. It was a very interesting party and I enjoyed today very well. Ok, today is a very funny day I am going to sleep.
