Steemit

I heard this name for the first time from my friend @sandu. She told me that she is writing for this platform and they are writing diaries for some kind of a contest. I didn’t have very clear idea back then. Sometimes she asked me to read her posts, when she writes about me in her diary game posts.

One day she proposed me to join with Steemit. She knows that I also like to read and write. With her guidance I created an account and joined this platform on 25th October last year. It was one of best choices I made. Day by day I learnt new things about this platform and learnt so many new things for life too. It was really interesting to read other Steemian's post and share my thoughts with them.

Another lovely thing about this platform is, I got to know many foreign friends whom I didn’t know before. In other words I got knowledge and friends from this platform.

_{Before Power UP}

With the time I learnt, growing our Steem Power is important. Then I participated in #SPUD4STEEM for the first time in February and won the 3rd place. Everyone in the Steem Sri Lanka helped a lot to learn about this platform. Specially, @randulakoralage the admin of the community and @sandu who is my mentor here.

So far, I have organized few contest and charity events. And I have participated in many contests in the platform. Among all, I have participated in 7 #SPUD4STEEM contests till now.

_{After Power UP}

Today I am very happy because I could reach 3000SP. So this is a special day for me. Not only that, my post count here is 200 with this one. This month is very special for me. I got a new job, and it is my birth month and my Steemit anniversary is near and now, I am very happy I could be 3000SP. It is not done in one shot. Like a neckless is created by adding one pearl by one, these 3000SP are collected little by little.
