See!!! Who Got Married.

It is always exciting to see your best friend as a beautiful bride. So I witnessed that recently. It was 27th of April 2023. @rasinkani got married to @imanthadd on that day. As I wanted to join with them during photo shoot I left home around 6:30am. Photos were taken at the same location that hosted the wedding function.

It has many scenic locations to take beautiful photos. It was at the edge of the river as name implies, "River's Edge". It was not far away from Ambalangoda. So, I went with father. Couple and the photographers had just arrived. At the first sight, I saw that she was impressively beautiful.

It took few hours to finish photo shoot. Meanwhile, Nawo and Sandu arrived. After Imantha's family arrived, Rasi's family members welcomed them. We waited inside until Poruwa time reached. At the right time, we came near to the Poruwa. Everything went according to the traditional rituals.

With the sloka and poems, it was a emotional moment for all. Rasi's mother got too much emotional and even cried. That is how mothers are. They do not want to see their children go to a far away place from home. Anyway I did not like that part as it was made unnecessarily emotional by the one who led rituals. It is not necessary to make them cry in a moment like this as she got married to her forever love.

Then came the registration occasion. I was one of witnesses for the marriage. If I make them meet for the first time, I should sign as the witness. That was the fact. Rasi's brother-in-law signed from other side. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of it.

Everything went well. We enjoyed the day. Few of my school and university friends were at the occasion. So, it was a happy time. We enjoyed the day. It was happy to see my girl getting married. I was excited. Also was too busy with the stuffs. Rasi and Nawoda helped me with things.

At the end, it was the time to leave. And again Rasi's mother got emotional as I expected. So, I had to make her comfortable telling things, so that she can distract from the occasion. I suggested her to keep me as her daughter when Rasi is not at home. And Nawoda said that she will be back with someone that aunty can look after from the beginning. 🤪
