Assalamu Alaikum. Greetings Sri Lankan community! How are you all? I hope that by the grace of Allah, you are all doing well. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am also doing well. I pray to Allah that we are always doing well.

Today I want to talk to you about a wonderful moment of the afternoon. Basically, yesterday was a very sad day. Because a friend of mine passed away yesterday and he was laid to rest in the grave at 3 pm. After burying him in the grave, I returned home and rested for some time. After resting, I went out and since it was the month of Ramadan, I felt very restless. So to relieve my restlessness, I cycled for some time in the afternoon.

Basically, I always try to enjoy the afternoon. On other days, I go to the school field and sit and talk with my friends and have a lot of discussions together. However, since my grandfather's friend died yesterday, I stayed at home instead of going to the school field. However, my time was not passing at all and I was getting very bored. I felt very thirsty and hungry and this was bothering me a lot.

Then I tried to pass the time by cycling for some time in the afternoon. However, even after that, there was still about 40 minutes left until iftar time, that is, evening. So I took my bicycle and stopped at the intersection of three roads near our house.

There were many children playing there. I enjoyed their fun and I liked it a lot. Especially most of the children completed their sports activities with old Honda tires. On the other hand, I was very happy and I saw some girls collecting stones from the road. Because the road work is in progress and there will be paving there in a few days. However, I enjoyed this a lot when the children were looking for small stones on the road to play. Especially the afternoon was very pleasant for me and I enjoyed the afternoon a lot.

After a while, I saw two twin children bringing a kitten. They love kittens very much. I asked them, "Where did you get the kittens?"

They replied that it was their pet cat. The cat was very big and beautiful.

However, a small disabled child requested me to take a photograph. I took a photograph of the cat to fulfill the request of the small child. When I was taking a photograph of the cat, the child who had the cat in his lap was very happy and the cat was very quiet with the child.

The children were very happy to see me taking the photograph and they were happy. I liked seeing their happiness very much and finally I was very happy too.

Thus, I returned home about 10 minutes before evening. When I got home, I had Iftar. The pre-Iftar moment was very happy for me and I enjoyed the moments spent with the animal very much.
