Songs that I have danced in summer (SNAP! - The Power)

Powerful pill for a long day ... but with an energy that even makes me feel like dedicating this piece of hip-hop track busters to myself as a little tribute before going to sleep.

The Power is, almost certainly, one of the songs that anyone, absolutely any of us, has recorded in her head in a pounding way. That "I've got the power", that sampler of hard guitars and an irresistible rhythm supposed such a mixture that they made even this wardrobe that writes dance (then not so much wardrobe, it is also true).

The song was a veritable collection of samples, some of which were obtained without authorization (including his famous "I've got the power", taken from a piece by Jocelyn Brown). This meant that much of it had to be nothing less than re-recorded to its final form to avoid legal problems.

Anyway, no one seemed to care about all this. The Power rocketed through the charts not only in dance, but also in pop, including a number one in Britain and a number two in the United States. It is still easy to remember Will Smith himself in his Prince of Bel-Air alter ego rapping this as a joke in what was the most broadcast - and repeated - series of the entire nineties.
