You are an imaginary scientist, a machine design with very complete features, if the time machine is real, of course everyone wants to try it.
But we have to accept whatever our current condition is, so that there are no burdensome thoughts. Being grateful for what we have is more soothing than lamenting what we have lost.
You are correct; happiness stems from contentment and gratitude rather than dwelling on our losses. I value your input!
