Spanish lessons through literature/creative writing: "clase n.2"
Dear friends, ready for another Spanish lesson? In the first one we met Diego, a 9 years old child from Argentina. We have learned a basic introducing of the child and some Spanish terms concerning family members. Let's go ahead now with the second lesson:
EL DIARIO DE DIEGO: clase n.2
Buen día a todos, soy otra vez yo, Diego de Argentina. ¿Quieren saber cómo soy? Muy bien, soy un niño común y corriente, de piel morena. Tengo el pelo y los ojos negros. No soy alto, pues mis papás son los dos bajitos. Y mi hermana mayor también. A veces eso me molesta, pues los otros niños en mi escuela suelen ser mucho más altos que yo y se ríen de mí. Pero hay muchos niños como yo en Argentina y por eso trato de no hacerle caso a mi poca altura. Bueno, ahora tengo que saludarlos, hasta la próxima.
Some dictionary and variant:
BUEN DÍA = GOOD MORNING. This is a variant of the most spoken BUENOS DÍAS. BUEN DÍA is used in Argentina and in Mexico too. In Spain people use the variant BUENOS DÍAS.
PELO = HAIR (in Argentina and surroundings, where people speak the variant named RIOPLATENSE, hair is translated with PELO. Among other Latin American countries and Spain (this latter, peninsular variant), hair is translated with CABELLO. PELO and CABELLO are synonymous, both are correct.

Good morning everyone, it's me again, Diego from Argentina. Do you want to know what I'm like? Well, I'm an ordinary child, with brown skin. My hair and eyes are black. I'm not tall, because my parents are both short. And so is my older sister. Sometimes that bothers me, because the other children in my school are usually much taller than me and they laugh at me. But there are many children like me in Argentina and that's why I try not to pay attention to my shortness. Well, now I have to say good-bye, see you next time.

Me parece una iniciativa bastante fresca y totalmente diferente a las que había visto anteriormente.
El español, millonario (para no decir rico) en sinónimos, es un idioma maravilloso; De hecho, frecuentemente lo llamo "el idioma de los dioses" por la amplia gama de palabras que podemos usar para decir las cosas. Por algo Cervantes fue reconocido y yo hasta lo comparo con el ingñés Shakespeare.
