Dear friends, although various recipes have been shared at different times, I have been writing very little about recipes lately.I have collected a valuable pitha recipe this winter, and I will try to share it with you right now, God willing.

Today I will share with you the recipe for making steamed pitha.Let's not delay, at the beginning I didn't tell you what ingredients are needed to make this pitha.

  • A pot with a perforated lid.
  • Rice flour
  • Water for heating
  • Jaggery
  • A small container in which the pitha will be made.
  • Two pieces of mesh

First, lightly sprinkle water between the rice grains and shape the rice grains into small balls.To prepare pitha, the rice grains must first be sieved using a net.You need to prepare perfectly clean rice flour for making pitha.

The second step is to put the powder in a small container.

To make pitha, you need to take the powders in a specific container.The container in which the rice powder is to be taken will be of a specific size and the smaller the size according to which the pitha will be made.The rice grains should be carefully and slowly lifted into this container.

Jaggery is known as the sweetener of this pitha.Jaggery plays a very important role in making this pitha, so after placing the rice balls, make some space in between them and then add a little jaggery there.Jaggery is mainly used to make the pitha delicious.

I used date molasses to make this cake.Basically, after putting the powders in the pot, I made a small hole with my two fingers and put the red colored molasses in it. This was used to sweeten the pitha I made.

In this step, the container on which we have placed the powders needs to be covered with a nice mesh.After covering it, it should be kept in such a way that the grains do not fall off when placed on top.Then you have to twist it nicely and hold it tightly.

Place the small pot on top of the boiling pot with the lid on, right where the steam is coming out.And after placing the pot in the place where the steam is coming out, will the rice and jaggery inside it be cooked because of the steam?
Basically, I think it is called Bhapa Pitha because it is prepared using only steam. However, even though it is called Bhapa Pitha here, it may be called by a different name in your area.I want to know what is the name of this cake in your area?

Lastly, I tried to take a picture of myself while preparing this pitha, although I was required to provide a picture after preparing the pitha, which I was unable to do.
