A little boy works in a mine and takes care of the canary kept underground to warn the mineworkers (if it dies the men are in danger). The canary plays deas, it's a way to get out of the mine till the moment it goes wrong amd the 'dead canary' is no longer believed.

Best character

The head of the mineworkers (father?). Without him the serious life and the danger mineworkers face wouldn't be made clear.

Like: Children always find a way to play no matter where they are which is admirable.

Dislike: The laziness of the mineworkers and seeing them painted like a bunch of idiots
