Hi everyone @steemnations,
It's another beautiful day to write something in this great #steemit community.

I'm @blessedofofon.
Waking up is a blessing, and I'm grateful for life.
After my morning chores, I decided to check on my farms.

Farming is a good source of income, and a farmer is never a hungry man.

Today, I decided to visit my farm to check how my plants, veggies, and crops are growing. I'm glad to see everything thriving, especially during this rainy season. They are all blooming beautifully, making the farm greener.

This is a photo of my scent leaves mini farm.

I cultivated these scent leaves a few months ago for home use. Now that they have blossomed significantly, I also use them for commercial purposes. They've yielded a good income and served various purposes.

Scent leaves, also known as basil or sweet basil, are a good source of:

  • Vitamins A and K
  • Minerals like potassium and manganese
  • Antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds
  • Fiber
  • Essential amino acids

The health benefits of scent leaves can't be overemphasized.

I spent some time here removing weeds from the farm.

Photo of my cassava and maize farm.

I also checked another partition where I planted maize and cassava together. The farm is doing well, as usual. They are growing nicely, and I weeded out the weeds a few days ago. The farm looks greenish and cool, so I decided to take a picture of it. This farm is also for both consumption and commercial purposes.

Photo of my plantain plantation.

The benefits I get from this plantain plantation are numerous.
This is actually my first-ever farm. A plantain plantation is a must-have here in southern Nigeria. Every home has at least a mini plantain plantation in their compound, especially in rural areas.

I would say 90% of the people in this part of the world love plantain, especially since it contains iron and is highly recommended for everyone, particularly those with ulcer or diabetes.

Some people enjoy unripe plantain, while others prefer it when it's ripe.

Personally, I love ripe plantain.

Each time I visit my plantation, I remove weeds and check for seedlings. I make sure to transplant some to avoid overcrowding. It was a stressful task, but it’s worth the effort because I benefit so much from farming.

Each time I visit the farm, when I'm tired, I rest under a shade, especially since there's early morning sun these days.
I rest here, regain some strength, and then continue with my work.

This is me looking stressed out and exhausted. I took this pic on my way home.

Farming is worth doing; I enjoy farming because I gain so much from it.

All photos are mine unless otherwise stated.

Thanks for stopping by my blog; I hope you find this interesting.

I love the greenery of your village.
Even in my village the bananas tree looks the same.
I remember how I used to take all the bananas and preserve them packed at home way back then.
Thanks for posting here ,hope to see more content.
