Homebody Parents, Wanderlust Child: The Eternal Debate || 10% Beneficiary set to @steem-nations
Hello, how are you all? I hope everything is well. So, today our exams finally ended, and we felt a bit of relief, but since projects are starting, there’s stress about that too. Anyway, because of the exams, the class duration was reduced from 3 hours to 2 hours this week, and tomorrow we only have one class, which we’ve decided to skip because it’s not that important. Everyone agreed to skip it together.
Well, we found out that our university is planning another picnic, so we thought we could go this time since our exams are over. But the issue isn’t about going on the picnic; the biggest problem is convincing desi parents. Like, they never agree, and we have to emotionally blackmail them, and only then do they agree. I mean, we’re not little kids anymore; we’ve grown up. But still, before going anywhere, we have to spend a whole week emotionally blackmailing our parents.
But, but, thank God, my parents are a bit chill in this matter. Like, if I have to go somewhere, I just tell them, and especially my dad, he says, “Okay, fine, you can go.” My mom gets a little worried, but she doesn’t stop me because maybe my parents also understand that this is the age to enjoy and go out. Plus, we don’t even go out that often. Although I love traveling, my parents don’t enjoy it as much. They prefer staying at home, and I, on the other hand, just want to go out all the time, anywhere, go somewhere. Because the more you stay at home, the more you fall into tension and depression. The more you go out, the more relaxed you feel. Your mind gets relaxed, you feel fresh, and you forget all your worries.
People even say that traveling is an education, and everyone should acquire this education. But then there’s another problem, and that is money. Traveling requires a lot of money, which we, as students, don’t have. Right now, we don’t have money, and when we do have money, there definitely won’t be time. Anyway, I believe that a person find time for their enjoyment if they want to, and they should make time if they want to enjoy life. If you’re just passing time, then you’re nothing but a robot—doing the same fixed routine work every day and then going to sleep.
