Hope my steemit family is doing good May Allah protect you all from this COVID-19 and from all the disease.

Today's diary is about my trip to an Iconic landmark of punjab "Badshahi masjid" Located in Lahore West of Lahore Ford.

THE BASEMENT

We left from our guest house towards our place at 10am after having our breakfast. The weather was awesome and the public of Lahore is so interesting. We just start up our Google map and the trip was started 👆. We reached our destination at 10:45am. I was so excited about this mosque. We hired a man for this tour to tell us about the history of this mosque.

This was the entry of this place a park full and greenery and alot of blooms. We walked to the mosque and after reaching the place we offered nafil namaz of "Shukarana". And the tour mentor take us to the basement. We heard alot of the horror stories about this basement. acoording to our mentor , The Badshahi Mosque was constructed by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb between 1671 and 1673. The mosque is an important example of Mughal architecture, with an exterior that is decorated with carved red sandstone with marble inlay.

Aurangzeb chose an architectural plan similar to that of Shah Jehan's choice for the Jama Masjid in Delhi, though built the Badshahi mosque on a much larger scale. The was too dark in the basement even we were not able to see the walls properly so we opened the torch light of our mobile phones and we move forward there was a room which they call " a hidden hall" its was not on the map of this mosques but it was there basically that room was for the people who want to hide there self in the situation of war. The story and place was so awesome even I cant tell you how much I enjoyed. The we move upwards of the mosque.

THE STAIRS

These stairs are special not like an ordinary stairs these are extensive and wide. Because the king of this emperor was travel on an elephant. So thats why they made these stairs such wide so the elephant can easily walk upward.

THE WALL

The walls of this building is made up of special stones and the pulses so there is no one kept there secrets no on can talk about anyone even in there rooms. Then me and husband went to two different rooms and start mumbling and we both can easily hear each other mumbling. The stones is for the Light as i show a picture above you can see when i put i light on that stone the stone reflects the light back. So when the moon was appear these stones reflect back the moon's light and the it helps the housemates in the dark.

THE WELL

Basically the well is hole in the ground to kept the water supply but this well is not for water.In this well the prisoners was buried the punish of the prisoners are to cut of there heads from the body and throw down them into this well.
