Steemit Engagement challenge week 3 - Defend the statements | 20% beneficiaries to pak-charity

INTRODUCTION: Good day beautiful people of this community, I welcome each and every one of us to the third week of this contest. Once again, I would like to thank the brains behind this contest as it has been really helping me in a lot of ways and I will also commend all the communities for handling their role effectively. Well done!

Today, I am here to give out some of the things I had learned as I will be defending three statements as required of me.

So, my advice for you today is just to grab a glass of water and sip through as you read because it is going to be a long ride.

Defends three statement

The three statements I will be defending are,

• A woman's place is in the kitchen.

• Money is more important than love.

• Votes are not guaranteed - SC01.

A woman's place is in the kitchen.

I am going to start by defending that a woman's place is in the kitchen.

First of all, I need to tell you that I am a Christian and that I will be adding some bible verses to back up my write-up from time to time. So, let us get started.

When I was growing up and starting to understand some things, there is this question that I asked different people including my parent back then and the question is, who make it a rule for a woman to always do the cooking? Well, different people gave me different answers but I can tell you that it was just recently I finally got the answers I have been looking for.

Now, Genesis Chapter 2 Verse 15 says,

And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

After the Lord has created the Garden of Eden, he took the man Adam and put him in the Garden to work it and take care of it. This is the man Adam's responsibility!

Let us go ahead and check Genesis Chapter 2 Verse 18 and 21 ff

18 . And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.

21 ff. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man.

From what we have read above we can see that the responsibility of the woman is to help the man. Since the man would be the managing the Garden, I believe the woman should be responsible for the managing of the home which includes cooking. This doesn't necessarily mean that the man should not know how to cook or even know the way to the kitchen, it just means that the woman should bear more of that responsibility.

This is what we call division of labor and this is only what could bring about progression in a home. The woman should be a helper to the man by bearing some responsibility. Imagine a man that has gone to work all day comes home and starts cooking, that won't be easy. We need t know that kitchen work also requires some stamina and perseverance.

Having said this, all these tasks are to be shared. Don't forget that all these works are actually meant for the man, but the woman is there to help.

This is my sole reason for believing that a woman's place is in the kitchen.

Money is more important than love.

I will start by defining these two terms though I am sure we all know or have an idea of what the two terms mean.

What is Money? Money can be simply defined as a generally accepted means of exchange.

What is love? Simply put, Love can be defined as a feeling of fondness or deep affection.

Verily verily I say unto you that, money is more important than love. Mind you, love is also important but I personally rate money more than love and I will tell you why shortly.

I have a question that I will want us to answer personally. Can you fall in love with a poor person and would you stay with him because of love? Let us ponder on that.

Many a time, I have seen some people choose love over money because for some reason I found ridiculous. Yeah, it is true that what really matters most in this world is happiness but does love guarantees that? Absolutely NO, because if that is the case then the poor people would be the happiest people on earth. Love can bring happiness but cannot keep it and what would be the essence if that is the case.

In a nutshell, there is no point in having something you can not manage or keep.

I can tell you categorically that money can keep happiness. If love can keep happiness, how come there is what we called divorce. Imagine a couple that loves each other deeply when they started out but along the way, they have no food to eat. What do you think will happen? Sadness, frustration, anger, depression, etc.

Money is very important in the world and we can readily survive just with it. I can't measure the joys that I used to feel whenever I am able to buy myself some things that I really need. It is a great feeling.

Why do I choose money over love,

• Money makes one's life very comfortable. There is this peace that comes with having money and I am sure it is a feeling we all feel. Comfortability aids happiness greatly. So, if you wanna stay happy, you need to have money and not love.

• Money creates a lot of opportunities for someone.

• We need to know that money can also buy someone health. Can love do this? No. With money, one can buy a proper, healthy, and balanced diet, and nutrition and also go to the gym all these aid one's health

• Money brings about, freedom, mobility, education and so much more.

• Another major importance of money is that it can buy one time. Yeah, time.

Having mentioned all, we need to know that love is also important and that we need to find a balance between it and money but we should never rate it above money at least according to me.

We need to also know that if we claim to love someone, there is some responsibility that we are going to carry for that someone, so tell me, how do we want to do that without us having any resources.

Summarily, Money is pretty much more important than Love as it dictates the flow of human living.

Votes are not guaranteed - SC01.

Here on Steemit, one's reward for writing a quality post or a post that meets all the requirements is a vote and I believe nobody likes to work without getting paid or rewarded. Since the inception of this Steemit engagement challenge, it has been made clear that votes are not guaranteed.

This is what we call precognition as everyone already knows about it ahead. Knowing this ahead will actually curb any disappointment that one would have if one's post is not voted.

What are the things that could warrant this

• I believe we know that a lot of people are participating in this contest and so, it will be near impossible for each and every one of us to get votes from the steemcurator accounts and this is because of what we call Voting power. For every vote that is made by any account, the voting power reduces and it takes time before it gets recharged. I believe this is one of the reasons why votes are not guaranteed.

• Also, I believe every community looks out for quality content and not plagiarized content. Posting quality content gives one a hedge to receive votes not just from the steemcurators account but from numerous people that have actually learned some things in the post.

• Another reason I believe could warrant this is if one does not follow the rules and regulations. Rules are meant to be followed and not broken and following the rules of each community also gives one a hedge to receive votes from steemcurators accounts.

CONCLUSION

Money is almost everything if not everything!
