Steemit Engagement Challenge Week 2 || Share your Country's Cultural Festival

A celebration of the traditions /costumes of a particular people or place collectively is Cultural Festival. Every culture has their own special festivals. I belong to pakistan, here we have cultural festivals too. Pakistan is a Muslim country so here I'm discussing the festivals that all Muslims celebrate all together through out the world at same time.

Muslims celebrate two festivals Eid-ul-Fitar and Eid-ul-Azha. For this contest I'm going to share about these two festivals.

EID-UL-FITAR

Now days we all Muslims are celebrating this festival. This festival starts at the 1st shawal after holy month of ramzan. When all Muslims fast a whole month then we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitar festival.

At the start of the day after fajar prayer all Muslims offered Eid Sallah and thank to Allah that he blessed us this month. Give fitra (charity) to poor people. Fitra is farz for every Muslim and its a fixed amount in rupees equal to the price of 2.5Kg of wheat.

All Muslims celebrate this festive with their families and friends. We do gathering on this special occasion. Go to visit our relatives. We all remove enemies and get rid anger from heart for others before and gather at eid. It's the beauty of this festival all Muslims get closer with clear heart on this day.

All Muslims (that are blessed by Allah) wear new dresses on Eid-ul-Fitar and we all try to give charity to poors so that they all make their eid too. We gifted clothes to poor too. Many people give Zakat in ramzan to get extra rewards from Allah and I this way poor can celebrate their rids too.

All girls and women put hinna on their hands wear heavy clothes, jewelry and makeup. On this occasion we made special special dessert called sheer khurma. We give presents to each other for gifts.

The most exciting thing of this eid is Eddi(money given by elders to kids). In my in laws Eddi is distributed from all elders in descending order from grand father to youngest sister in law. We all make noise when some one get start distributing his eiddi. My in laws sisters fight in fun with their brothers to raise their Eddi. We all enjoy this part of eid. As I'm elder so I get Eddi just from my father in law but Eddi distribution is fun too.

We Muslims celebrate this festival three days. Government announced vaccination one day before to three days. Today is our Eid-ul-Fitar. And we are enjoying and celebrating this day. So from my side

Eid-ul-Azha

It's another great festival of Muslims. It is celebrated in memory of Hazrat Ibrahim who was going to sacrifice his beloved son for Allah, but at the time of slaughtering Allah exchanged his son with a lamb. But Allah liked his deed and we Muslims celebrate this festival by sacrificing animals for Allah.

This festival is celebrated at 10th zilhajj after performing hajj all hajji do this sacrifice. While all Muslims of the world who are blessed by Allah sacrifice animals for Allah on this day. This eid is celebrated from 10th to 13th day of zilhajj.

For sacrifice people bought animals before eid and take care of them with love for rewards from Allah. My kids wants animals at home atleast 15 day before eid. But I don't agreed because animals get ill due to extra care from kids like over feeding, over exertion, bathing them daily etc. Normally 7-8days before eid animals come in my home.

After sacrificing these animals their meet is distributed in poor, relatives and kept for family. On this eid we did BBQ, special gathering and celebrate together.

On this eid kids and men are very excited due to cattles that they bring for sacrifice. May Allah accepts all sacrifices did by Muslims.
