The Diary Game | 7th August 2021, Saturday | The Day I joined Steemit

Assalam u Alaikum

Warm greetings to all steemians, hope you all are doing good! My name is Zaid and this is the very first post of The Diary Game from my side.

So first of all, let me set up my background real quick, please bear with me lol, my University final exams for the 3rd semester ended at the end of June. Yes, we had physical examinations despite the fact that lockdown again started at that time :(. Since the end of examinations, I'm on summer vacation now and actually getting bored. I messed up my wake-up schedule and daily routine so much. I normally like to wake up early in the morning, but now on vacations, my usual timings of getting up are like 12pm. I have to get rid of that routine In Sha Allah, as the university will be opening again soon.

So, moving on to the current day, it's Saturday, 7th of August, I woke up at 9 am. The weather in Karachi is mostly cloudy nowadays, so even at 9 am, there were clouds all over the place, and let me tell you, it's so calming to watch it. So, I went to the window for sightseeing, took some snaps, yeah it's the most important thing lol and then went back to sleep again. I woke up again at 12 pm, brushed my teeth and after some breakfast, actually it was more of a brunch, I was legit free.

After performing Zuhr namaz at about 2 pm, I make myself motivated to sit down and complete a week work course on Coursera.
A little backstory of my time with Coursera: My university has signed up for Coursera basic plan that allows us, students, to enroll for any course for free. So, when the vacations were started, I was highly motivated and planned on doing the whole web development course. I enrolled for the web development course and started with Html week 1 in the first week of vacation. After doing the work of week 1, I was again demotivated and mostly bored lol. I mean, it's crazy, the excitement and thrill to start something up, right? The main thing is the process, that's where it gets hard, y'all can relate nw ?
So I took a week break from coursera, then completed the html course in the next 1.5 weeks.
Right now, I'm enrolled in the CSS course, and it's going really well.

At about 3 30 pm, I decided to watch something, went to search, and guess what, found "The suicide squad" lol. Now, how can I describe this film? I mean, they have implemented very different methods of filming, the sudden quick zooms, but they were constant about one thing, they were killing every character in the movie like it's a battle royale going on man!!. Although, it was fine overall.

I created steemit account yesterday (on 6th Aug), wrote all the necessary things for achievement 1 the same day, I just had to take a picture of myself with a page in which the required items were written. I sat at about 6 pm to find all good and related images for achievement 1. After that, I started making the post with all the markdown, since it was my first time making a post there, had to check different markdowns and all, it's a good thing that I'm learning CSS and already used GitHub many times so I understand markdown basics and styling quickly. But it took about 30 minutes and I haven't prayed Asr yet. As I saw the time, I had to perform the namaz first, then I posted the first achievement on steemit, told my friend @zeeshyy07 and @bilal050 about it. By the time I performed maghrib, my achievement 1 got verified. It was like in less than 2 hours tops. So, the level of excitement I had, small little victories you know. I told these two guys I aforementioned.

It was about 9 pm, I decided to play CSGo with my friend Talal, unfortunately, we lost, ugh, someone disconnected from the team, I hate those guys who disconnect between a match. Anyways, we fought a good fight tho. Finally done from gaming at 2 am. I know it's a little late, but I mean, I had nothing to do lol. I went to sleep after chatting with friends with new plans on my mind for the next day which I will share in my next diary. Until then,
