Who is these scammers?

Most of these scammers are already active steemians, as you may have noticed. Maybe their account was hacked and they didn't realize it was in the hands of a scammers group. Scammer organizations frequently disseminate their phishing links using social media. They mainly use Telegram's large group (number of subscribers), Facebook Messenger's public page or group, Twitter comments, and Discord private messages. They initially send/drop a remark with a phishing link there.

Scammers got into your account in the following ways:

  • If you're on a different social networking site, such as Facebook, Telegram, or Whatsapp. This phishing URL is shared by these con artists. You may enter a secret password, and fraudsters may get access in the meanwhile.

  • The majority of us have a habit of saving our passwords in our browser. These browsers do not appear to be secure in my opinion.

  • Some individuals want to keep their passwords on Messenger, which isn't a good idea in light of Facebook's data-selling scandal.

What should you do to protect yourself from these fraudsters?

  • Don't click those phishing Link

  • If you saved your password in the browser, delete it from both the browser and the extension.

  • If you store your password in Facebook Messenger or another social media site, you should update your account password and save it offline.

  • Please notify the Zero to Infinity Community or steemitblog if you see any phishing remarks.

  • Whether you've seen these generous liquorish rewards/airdrops, you should check their official community account to see if any such announcements have been made.

  • Stay up to date with @steemitblog's latest announcement.
