Fiction Prompt: Smoke, Fog, and Haze: Write about not being able to see ahead of you.

Today, the world is in chaos because of the virus. Many people are hungry because the economy is going down. Many people are jobless when many companies are in bankruptcy. In a certain town of Philippines named Cebu. That town is in locked down that if someone from inside want to go out will be shoot to kill. They're in locked down when the spreading of the virus in this place was so fast. It's like this town was being removed in that country. There are no lights and the government always doing fogging in this place. They want to make sure that the virus will be killed by that smoke.

Jack lives in that place but works outside in that town. When he heard about the news of quarantine in that town. He immediately goes into that town where he's family lives as well. He knew that the arm forces won't let him go inside. He sneaks inside in that town successfully by hiding from car to car.

He is now inside in their place. But he can't see anything but only smoke surround it. He's spending 5 days of searching in their house but still he can't find it. How could he found it if the surrounding is covered with smoke. He can only see something when it's near to him.

He brought food inside his bag when he went inside the town. He's not weakened even though the government said the virus of that town is everywhere. He doesn't feel weak but he encounters falling in a hole, wound and bruise from his body. Well, because he's running even though he can't see anything.

It's been a week since he got inside the town. The food he brought is almost gone. While he is lying in the ground and wanted to sleep. He hears a child crying. He stands up and listen it carefully. The crying continues and slowly he's walking towards that sound. When it reaches of an hour. He glimpse the child because is wearing a shiny material.

He hug it immediately when he reaches it. He is so sure of it, the voice that is crying is his child. But when he feels the child that is crying. It's not a child, it's just a big teddy bear sitting. The one that is crying was the recorded sound of his child. He's dying into tears after knowing that it's not his child. He cried out loud like he's troubling in breathing. Before he realised, he's falling into the ground. The teddy bear that he hugs was contaminated with so much virus. The virus immediately kill him and passed out.
