Cartel Tycoon is presented as a narrative simulator inspired by the world of drug trafficking of the 80s in which we will have to create a whole drug empire and trade with marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines and other products, as long as we know how to master all the mechanics which includes the video game, including the logistics systems of your farms, laboratories, warehouses, workshops, research centers and supply lines. Cartel Tycoon is set in a fictional Latin America where the story is procedurally generated, thus facilitating its replayability.
You will have to create an empire of drug production and drug trafficking chains while standing up to rival cartels, traitorous lieutenants, the authorities and public opinion. Trade in marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and, of course, legal products as an alibi for your business.
You can conquer the surrounding regions and increase profits to unlock new upgrade paths and new research opportunities. Adapt to procedurally generated events on the fly.
The authorities, rival cartels, the DEA, the military and even the CIA will be a threat to your business. When you die (because things never end well for the drug lords), you will put yourself in the shoes of your successor to rebuild your empire on the ruins of the previous one.
