I run a budget Hivemind on a cheap VPS (9 Euros/month). Had some uptime issues in the past so I cannot recommend this provider for a critical production instance, but great value for money for a development server https://contabo.com/?show=vps
Thanks for sharing your experience with contabo. Do you have any idea how much it would cost to run one on other services, say Amazon?
AWS has a lot of options, possibly there is a cheap way that I'm not aware of, but if you are looking into a their managed Postgres options that's really expensive. A dedicated root-server for ~50$ per month is probably your best option for a very reliable Hivemind.
