Introduction

Hello everyone!

I am here to briefly respond to some four questions which affect many families nowadays. Before I begin my response to these questions, let me first of all describe the meaning of these two words below:

Negligence: this simply means to ignore or avoid one's duty.
Responsibility: this simply means a duty one has been assigned to either legally or morally.

What does neglect of responsibilities mean in a family🙇?

Negligence of responsibilities can simply be described as an act of ignoring one's duty in the family. Every member of a family has at least one role to play. As a father, you have a fatherly role to play by providing for your family. Even as a child, you have your own role to play. No one is idle in the family.

No, I was not neglected as a child. However, I have seen several cases of family negligence in the neighborhood. Although, the aspect of child negligence determines how it will affect the child. For example, a child whose parents neglected to monitor his academics might end up becoming a school drop out.

👉Your advice to parents who neglect their responsibilities towards their kids

I will advise parents who have been neglecting their children to retrace their steps. They should start taking responsibility in every aspect of their children's lives, because their children are their future.

👉Your advice to the kids who are neglected

To kids who feel neglected, I will say to them that they should be courageous. They should not be downcast. If there is any need to talk to your parents about it, go ahead and discuss it with them. Sometimes, it may require you to seek assistance outside. Don't be shy to do so.
