Contest alert- All-in-one contest W18: 62.266 Steem Powerup
Powerup simply means the process of converting Steem, which is the cryptocurrency of the Steemit platform, into Steem Power (SP). Steem power, therefore, is a non-transferable and not directly tradable token.
The Importance of powerup
- Steem power is an Influence tokens which give you more control over post payouts in the Steemit social media platform.
- Steem power allows you to earn on curation rewards.
- Powering up is an investment of steem and can be gotten in the future through the process called power down.
- It makes you become a trusted Steemian.
- Powerup makes Steem scarce thereby influencing its price positively.
- Powering up Steem helps in growing one's reputation on the Steemit platform.
- Powerup determines the club status of a steemian.
My process of powerup
To power up my earnings this week, I log into my Steemit account and then click on my wallet. Behold, this page opens
In the wallet, I clicked on the Steemit logo and provided my username and posting key which now gives me the option for powerup
I click on the triangle symbol close to the steem and a menu pops up
I click on powerup, and it takes me to another page titled "Convert to STEEM POWER".
Here, I type the entire number of steem I have in the column for amount and click poweup which is in black ink
It then took me to another page titled Confirm Transfer to vesting and on this page.
On this page I clicked on ok and instantly all the raw steem transferred to Steem Power as shown below.
