Greetings dear friends. I believe you had a beautiful weekend. Today, in this prestigious community, I would like to share with you the steps I took to draw a cat hunting a mouse. I believe you will like and support this drawing.

Materials for the drawing

• Plain embossed paper
• HB pencil
• Eraser
• Blade
• Cotton wool

Step 1
I began by writing my username and date on the paper. After that, I drew the head of the Cat which I began with the ear, followed by the top of the head, the second ear, the cheek and the mouth. I then concluded with the eye and the nose.

Step 2
Here, I drew the body of the cat, the hind leg and the fore leg, which it stretched to catch the mouse.

Step 3
I drew a widely open window with the Cat on it which I began with the frame.

Step 4
Here, I drew the mouse, which I began with the head. I then drew the body and the legs and lastly, I drew the whippy bit (tail).

Step 5
I shaded the window using an orange colour.

Step 6
I coloured the Cat to be coffee brown and orange. I colored the eyelids black using a 6B pencil and I also drew the whisker. Finally, I coloured the background of the window black using a pencil.

Step 7
Here, I coloured the mouse black using a HB pencil. I used a 6B pencil for the eye and an orange colour for the mouth, ears, legs and the tail. I also drew the whiskers of the mouse. Finally, on this drawing, I shaded the shadow of the cat, the shadow of the window and the ground level using a 2B pencil.

Conclusion
These are the few steps I have taken to draw the Cat hunting for a mouse. I believe children in this community will be able to connect this drawing with one of their stories about the cat and the mouse. Thank you all for your support. I invite @taaher1,
