My entry for the contest shool or home which should have to influence on a child 04/07/21 by @chocolatebrown

Good day to all my friends and fellow steemians and kids lovers. How are we today. Am happy to participate in the contest and am also grateful that you stopped by to read my post.THE HOME SHOULD HAVE MORE INFLUENCE.
Today because of the high cost of living many parents spends much time at work than with their children therefore making it impossible for them to spend ample time with their children . And this have made many parents to enroll their kids earlier in school.but looking at the holy scripture and the principle Jehovah set out for parents it clearly shows that the home was supposed to be and should have more influence on all child than the school. My reasons are as follows.
1** All of us know what we call the mother tongue, but have we ever come to think of why our dialect is called mother tongue? That's because the first language that a child learns to speak it's the very language the mother speaks. we all know that children spends much time with their mom than with any other person , starting from when they are put to birth and on.and that's why when a child starts talking it's only the mom that can understand the language.thats to show how much influence a home should have
on a child . But when the time is not there for children other places that shouldn't have early influence on the kids will start doing so.
2** the inspired scripture outlined some guidelines for parents that will make them have a great influence on their children it says."these words am commanding you must be in your heart and you must inculcate them in your son's and speak of them when you lie down,when you sit in your house when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up". The word inculcate mean to teach someone an attitude,idea or habit by persistent instructions. That's where the influence is ,Jehovah expects parents in other words the home to have influence and that's why he stressed the need to teach them. If you check the quoted text.it mentioned almost all the activities.namely when you sit,lie down ,get up and walk. if this is done by parents I believe the home will have greater influence on the kids because children can never forget what you the parent teach them.
3** Education . There's a saying that charity begins at home that one mean that anything one does he learns it at home.so the main education starts from home which exerts much influence on the kid's.
4following the examples of parents or guardian. Children likes doing things they see people around them do that means they take their parents as their first role model . An example is ,if your child always see's you read you will see that the child will always carry book and be mimicking you.my daughter does that very often. i make use of glasses so she loves wearing glasses too.

5 Home is a haven.yes that's what it means to me even what it will also mean for my kids. It should be where a child will always long for. People at home are those whom a child should always imitate .I strongly believe that home should ,and must have the highest influence on a child but if it doesn't the that means it was not a Haven for te child.
Conclusively , Jehovah the God who gave us children as gifts expects us to have a best effect and influence on our kids it's the obligation of every home.
