SEC-S17W3: large and small families, likes and dislikes
Hello, Steemians from all over the world. I trust you all feel great and super fantastic. I am very excited to partake in this contest today to talk about my choice of family size
I would first start by defining what a nuclear family is. A Nuclear family is a family made up of just a father, mother, and children. A nuclear family is usually a small family compared to] extended family that is very large and made up of a grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, children, cousins, nephews, niece, and grandchildren. Grandfather is the head of an extended family while the father is the head of a nuclear family.
The type of family I grew up in was very small. It was a family made up of 5 persons which included my father, mother, 2 brothers, and me. It was a very small one.
When my brothers grew up and left the house, it was just me left with my mother and father.
And when I finally left for school, it was just my parents left. Dad died and only Mom is left alone.
Growing up in such a small family, I have realized that having a large family is best. And I have my reasons for that.
I like a large family type. I would like to have a family of seven children. But our country's economy today has made it difficult to survive in a large family.
I have my reasons for preferring a large family. These are my reasons.
When the family is large, it becomes easy to accomplish some tasks easily without getting weary. Because the work will be divided among the family and it will take less time to accomplish it.
Also, when the family is large, there will be no loneliness. The parents will not feel lonely in their old age. Because there will still be children around to take care of them.
And the responsibility of caring for the aged parents will not fall on one person alone making it bothersome. Rather, the different grown-up children will contribute to care for their aged parents very well.
Another thing is that the children will not be lonely. But will enjoy the company of each other. Unlike me, I was always lonely because my 2 brothers were no longer in the house.
Another reason is for protection, when the family is large, troublemakers will not go near because they fear the wrath of the members of the family combined.
The disadvantage here is that the cost of taking care of the family is high. And so, a lot of resources are needed.
In a bad economy like that of our country, it becomes difficult to cater to all the needs of each member of the family.
This can lead to the children suffering and struggling to survive or get proper education and empowerment.
Nevertheless, if I'm allowed to choose, I'll go for a large family. Having grown up in a small family, I would love to experience the fun, Joy, and strength of a large family.

I can understand why you would love to have a larger family, maybe because you have already experienced how a smaller family looks like and you have your reasons for wanting to have UpTo 7 children but don't forget to put into consideration the economy situation in our country, thank God you are a Nigerian and you are in the know. Me on the other hand wouldn't wish for a larger family size because I had experienced it already, 8 of us in our family, that's my father, mother and six of us. All girls. You have written well

Pero lo importante es que el amor no se acabe entre todos y como dices la situación actual no te deja tener muchos hijos, espero que puedas tener aunque sean tres O cuatro y así sentirse con un número satisfactorio

Sometimes it happens that we want to live in a big family because we are tired of living in a small family. Stay with your loved ones, stay with your family, but they don't know how much we have to struggle, how much we have to work hard and how we have to make compromises etc. But it also has many problems, but it is much better than big families
