Whether you are actually an introvert or not, one of the things I've learned about being introverted is that I really do like being with other people, but I gain my strength and recharge my batteries only from being by myself, usually in nature where there are no other people around. I need these recharge periods by myself — preferably a couple of times a day — in order to not become grumpy and unhappy.
