The Diary Game | A Day in My Nursery Classroom

Hello everyone..hope you're all having a great day. Tday was one of those quiet but meaningful days in my nursery classroom.
As I sat marking my pupils’ exercise books, watching their tiny attempts at writing letters, I felt a deep sense of responsibility. In this picture, I was correcting a writing exercise. We practiced simple letter sounds and tracing. Some of the letters were shaky, some were bold, and some were written with so much confidence you would think the child had been writing for years.
But that is the beauty of teaching nursery pupils, every effort matters.
This stage of learning is not about perfection. It is about patience.
While marking their work, I realized something important about parenting too. Children do not learn because we shout.

They learn because we guide, repeat, encourage, and correct gently.
Some of my pupils struggle to hold their pencils properly. Some get distracted easily. Some want to finish quickly without paying attention. And I see the same traits at home with my own child.
Teaching these pupils is really teaching me that growth is a process. You cannot rush hand writing and I'm really amazed at how my pupils are growing, The oldest in my class should be around 2years and 6 months, and they're learning so fast, I'm really proud of them. As a teacher I have realized that we can't rush understanding and maturity.
I had to slow down for them both in learning and writing.
All they need is steady guidance, and not pressure .
The foundation we build today , will shape their confidence tomorrow .
