I am so delighted to participate in this beautiful contest in the Steem Kids and Parents Community which talked about my action to make our environment cleaner, greener, and healthier by @ngoenyi, thank you so much ma for always organizing amazing contests in this noble community. It is my pleasure to drop my entry and I do hope that you all will enjoy my post.

🚮Proper disposal of refuse

Proper disposal of refuse is the steps needed for the disposal of refuse or waste products which involves all tools, equipment, treatment, building, structure, materials, etc needed to take refuse from the refuse collector to the appropriate place of discard in a way and manner that will not cause nuisance to humans and the environment.

There are several healthy methods of refuse disposal, eg, incineration, sanitary landfill, composting, recycling, disposal at sea, etc

The method I normally use to dispose of my refuse is disposing at the pit, I would have preferred to use the incineration method but for now, I don't have an incinerator to dispose of the refuse and I decided to the use available method which is dumping at the pit.

✅What did you do?

What I did is proper disposal of refuse, it is proper and also hygienic for us to always dispose of our refuse in a way and manner that will not cause harm to humans and the entire environment to keep the environment clean and healthy, also to avoid coming contact with some common diseases around the environment, eg, cholera, typhoid, malaria, etc.

✅ How did you do it?

How I did it was that I have a rubber where I normally dump my refuse every time, so every morning of the day, I normally take it to a pit to dump.

The pit was dug because my dad used the sand in building our kitchen in the house, after building the kitchen, my dad instructed us to always dump our generated refuse there.

✅ Where did you do it

IMG_20240812_104046_943.jpg

Where I did it is my house, it is good and hygienic to always generate our refuse in an appropriate way to keep the environment cleaner, healthier, and a pleasant environment where people love to visit your home, eat, and drink water without doubt.

Disposal of refuse appropriately around the house helps in reducing the risk of spreading some common diseases to humans, eg, cholera, typhoid, malaria, etc.

✅ What motivated you?

IMG_20240812_072102_001.jpg

What motivated me to dispose of my refuse in this way is that I want to keep a clean, healthy, and pleasant environment, I also want my home to be the type of home where people will feel free to come, eat, drink, and stay comfortable without feeling doubt or irritated.

Most of the diseases in our community today example malaria, cholera, and the rest of the diseases as a result of not keeping the environment clean.

A dirty environment attracts flies, mosquitoes, and even rodents, and also, dirty environments are favorable conditions for the growth of the above insects and rodents, to avoid those diseases, proper disposal of refuse is one of the criteria.

It's so hygienic of you to partake in a cleaning activity like this, indeed a dirty environment attracts flies and mosquitoes which are not good for humans and so we should ensure that we keep our surroundings and environment clean at all times

A nice post dear, you have succeeded in showing us that cleanliness is a good virtue to show and we as humans should learn to follow that virtue
