My Diary Game: MATRICULATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF UYO AND OTHER ACTIVITIES - 29/11/2025

Just like other days, yesterday was special to the young academicians, both for the undergraduates and postgraduate students. The University of Uyo lit up, and the mammoth crowd rapidly slowed vehicular movement. No one cares about the distance to trek, not to mention the sudden rise in transportation. The parents became youthful, a fresh bone and energy ignited in them to walk and struggle to sit with others to go into the school campus that had been congested. It was profound to see the aged parents passing through all of this joyfully.

I was there for dual purposes: further studies and an undergraduate invitation. The formalities according to the matriculation order were followed. The professors, heads of departments, faculties, and all the reputable and respected scholars in their gowns made the occasion colourful.
The oath was appropriately taken to bind the students to justice where necessary in case they go against their oaths.

MORNING

As usual, I rose from the bed with a line-up of activities, but first was to drop my son off at school. Checking my face, it was pertinent to look good, as I will go for the matriculation. I had to shave my beard and then move into the road where the buses and tricycles were going in one direction to the famous University of Uyo. Transport fare increased by 100%. From the school gate, I paid 200 naira against the normal 100 naira. Everything went well.

AFTERNOON

My boss called me to go and pick a box mixer amplifier from Idu for repairs. I left the Matriculation for it. While I was there my wife called me about our son's school, it was time. I rushed and picked him up. Together with my wife, we bought some fruit for the afternoon. As we finished enjoying the fruits, there was an electricity supply, and under the fan, all of us fell asleep.

EVENING

When the evening came, I was with my wife assisting as she was preparing zobo, and there was much. Someone ordered about 75 packs of it. She started cooking it in the afternoon. I am happy that we were able to meet up with the client who didn't have a birthday celebration.

After we finished and had our dinner, I was telling my wife how my day went just as I am doing on Steem.
Besides struggling to enter the school in the morning, another challenge was my inability to sign the Matriculation register until I left, which I hope to sign it on Monday.
I didn't collect the matriculation gown, so there was no need to look for it and snap.

Have a good time.
