Introduction

There are many laws in place that protect women's rights, and women have made great strides in achieving equality in recent years. However, there is still work to be done, and there are many areas in which women still lack full equality. For example, women continue to earn less than men, and they are more likely than men to experience sexual assault or abuse. Nevertheless, progress has been made, and the rights of women should not be taken for granted.

Laws / Protections

  • There are many laws in place that protect women's rights. These laws include protections against discrimination based on gender, reproductive rights (such as the right to abortion ), and the right to equal pay. Additionally, many countries have laws that protect women's rights in specific areas, such as the right to vote or to own property.
  • Despite these protections, there are still many areas in which women lack full equality. For example, women continue to earn less than men, and they are more likely than men to experience sexual assault or abuse. Additionally, some cultures view women as second-class citizens and do not give them the same rights as men.
  • However , progress has been made, and the rights of women should not be taken for granted. Rather, all people should strive to achieve full equality for women. This can be done through education and awareness, as well as the enforcement of existing laws.

Where does the WHO stands on this question ?

The World Health Organization (WHO) does not specifically address the question of whether women have equal rights as men, but the organization's website states that "gender equality is a fundamental human right" and that "all people should strive for full gender equality."

The WHO also states that "women are disadvantaged in many ways throughout their lives, including in access to health care, reproductive health services and economic opportunities." Therefore, the WHO believes that all people should strive for full gender equality.

Equal rights for men and women are essential for a fair society

There are many benefits to having equal rights for men and women. For example, a fair society is one in which everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. This is not possible if one group of people (in this case, women) lacks the same rights as another group of people (in this case, men). Additionally, a fair society is more inclusive and tolerant of different cultures and viewpoints. It is important that all citizens have an equal say in the decisions made about their community, and this can be achieved only if men and women have the same rights and opportunities.

Conclusion

All people should strive for full gender equality, which includes the equal rights of women. Equality between men and women is not necessary or desirable, however, because it would be difficult to achieve. Therefore, the WHO believes that all people should focus on other areas of societal inequality instead. Nonetheless, it is important that we continue to strive for equality between men and women because it is essential for a fair society.
