All in one Contest ontest Week 33: Quick and Easy Handmade Duck Tutorial for Kids

Assalamualaikum Everyone. I hope all of you are doing well and having a great time.

Today, I am going to participate in the All in one Contest Week 33: Writing Expedition and Food Challenge. This contest includes many topics to participate. So, today the topic I chose for this contest is Crafting.

I am very thankful to @steemkidss for organizing this contest and giving us this opportunity to show our talent and creativity.

So today, I will share with you a tutorial on making a Cute Handmade Duck. This tutorial is specially for kids. It's very easy to make with limited materials. This duck will be made with the help of circle shapes. I will share the whole process step-by-step so you can easily follow it, if you want to make it.

Materials Required:

1. Yellow, orange and white paper
2. Glue stick
3. Lead pencil
4. Scissor
5. Scotch tape or any circular lids. (Large, medium and small lid)

Step no 1
Take a yellow paper, place it vertically and then fold it as shown in the photo and then cut it from the centre to make two equal strips.

Step no 2
Now take one yellow strip, fold it into a square shape and then cut it as shown in the photos.

Step no 3
Take a medium scotch tape or any circular lid to draw a circle by tracing the shape and after that cut it. You will see two circles of the same size are formed as shown in the photos.

Note: You can also draw a circle by using compass but this method is easy and safe for kids.

Step no 4
Now take a large lid to make a big circle compared to the first ones and then cut it as shown in the photos. Now we have 3 yellow circles. One big and two medium.

Step no 5
Now take orange paper for making 3 small circles. For this, you again follow the step no 2 & 3 but this time you will fold the paper one more time and use small lid for tracing. After cutting you will see three small circles of same size are formed.

( If you found this method difficult you can separately draw three small circles one by one and then cut it )

Step no 6
Take one medium yellow circle and one small orange circle. Now fold the orange circle in half and paste it behind the yellow circle to make the duck's face and beak as shown in the photo.

Step no 7
Now take the large yellow circle, fold it in half and then paste it behind the duck's face from one corner to make the body as shown in the photos.

Step no 8
Take another medium yellow circle, fold it in half and then paste it in tilted form in the centre of the duck's body as shown in the photos to form its wings.

Step no 9
Using lead pencil draw an eye on white paper, fill it with black color and then cut it as shown in the photos.

Step no 10
Now paste the eye on the duck's face as shown in the photo.

Step no 11
This is last step. Take the remaining two orange circles, fold them in half and paste them at the bottom & behind the duck's body to make the feet of the duck as shown in the photos.

Now our Cute Handmade Duck is ready. I wrote my username and today's date. Here is the final look:

I hope you liked my step-by-step tutorial of making this handmade duck. Kids can try this activity. These types of activities help in improving the hand-eye-coordination of kids. It's not only fun for kids but also increases their creativity. It's also one of the best ways to keep kids away from mobile phones.
