in Steem Kids & Parents3 years ago
An input device is any device that is used to provide input to a computer system. This can include anything from a keyboard to a touch screen. These input devices make the interaction with computer user-friendly and convenient. There are a number of different types of input devices, each with its own specific purpose.

Different input devices

We have so far known about what are input devices and how we use them for connecting and communicating with computer devices. So we'll move on toward understanding some of the examples and know their functions.

Keyboard:

A keyboard is the most common type of input device, and is used for typing text or commands into the computer, keyboard has many keys arranged in a special order that is called QWERTY layout. These keys with other combinations are used to perform tasks that could be done manually otherwise.

Touch Screen:

A touch screen is a type of input device that uses the movement of a finger or a touch pen to provide input. This type of device is often used for making selections on a computer screen, or for controlling the cursor on a document. By the invention of mobile devices we've moved mostly toward touch screens and interacting with them doesn't seems like an issue to many of us. There are some laptops available in the market that use touch screens instead of mouse and keyboard for interaction

Mouse:

Mouse is a rodent that is found in our houses and we all hate them for being so nasty.

Hahahaha no i am not talking about this mouse. This type of mouse has no use in our computers. So you must be wondering which mouse i am talking about? Yeah let me tell you that

A mouse is an input device that uses two buttons to provide input. It is often used to move the cursor around a computer screen. Now with the evolution of computers going forward as being the laptop computers this mouse is replaced with a mouse pad. Which doesn't have the scroll button, inside a touch pad on which user can move around using their finger and also the same kind of button it used to have with the old computers.

Joystick:

A joystick is an input device that uses a stick to provide input. It is often used for controlling the direction of a character or object in a video game .

Microphones:

Microphones are used for recording and broadcasting audio. They can be used to capture voice, recordings of live performances, or any other audio. Microphones can also be used for communication, such as in a Skype call. Recent use of microphones are making audio commands to the computers like we can Voice search on Youtube.

My experience with input devices

keyboard and mouse

I don't remember my first keyboard and mouse it was way back in time to remember how it happened. But what i remember that it came with an old computer that spent more time in the mechanic shop than with us

Joystick and Mircophone

I never had a joystick or a microphone so i am not sure of how it would have looked like or how it must have felt.

Touch screen

My first touch screen was my father's phone when i was 4 or 5 years old, i use to listen to stories and poems and it felt like such a blessing.

Hello dear @ibtisamwaqas, thank you for doing your Assignment, you did well.

However, it would be wise to also make use of pictures of those devices as you already started.

Note: Also the double column layout is difficult to read..., it doesnt make the first picture look neat..., probably the picture is much bigger or you didnt set it well.

Its better you maintain the single

You should always attach your introductory post at the end of each of your posts.
