Nothing is more better than having a peaceful day

Today was such a beautiful day.
I woke up early in the morning around 6 o’clock. I looked out through the window and saw that the sky was still blue, with a slight darkness still hanging in the atmosphere. I got out of bed, picked up my towel, and went straight to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and took my time bathing.
When I was done, I came back and found that my food had already cooled enough for me to eat without burning my tongue. My brother had cooked very early in the morning. So I started eating.

After I finished eating, I put on my clothes and polished my shoes, making sure they were shining just the way I love them to be. Then I walked out through the door, locked it behind me, and went straight to the office.
When I got to the office, I saw two people already there. I was actually the third person to arrive at work today. I greeted them, and we all exchanged pleasantries. After that, I sat down, opened my book, and started writing.
Most of the things I wrote today were about the online courses I’m taking. I wanted to summarize my notes so it wouldn’t be difficult for me when it’s time for my examinations but guess what? I wasn’t even able to make the summary notes to the extent that I planned.

Soon after I arrived, other people started coming into the office. It was really exciting seeing everyone come together again after the weekend. We started chatting, making small talk, and discussing different topics. Before we knew it, it was already 12:00 p.m.
Our discussions continued. Some people slept off, some switched over to playing games and card games. As for me, I decided to continue making my summary notes, but I couldn’t concentrate anymore because I wasn’t in the mood. I had the energy in the morning, but not anymore.

So I decided to watch a few motivational videos. While watching them, I saw an advertisement for a movie that seemed quite interesting. So I switched from motivational videos to watching movies. I watched some movies and later started talking with some of my colleagues. We spoke for some time, listened to the news, shared ideas some really quality ones.
After a while, everywhere started becoming cold. I thought to myself that normally, we don’t have much to do this month, and nothing has really been well organized throughout the month. So I decided to take a walk around, visit other departments, check other offices, and see what was going on.

I took my time, went to other units, entered offices, and peeked around. To my surprise, I discovered that the majority of the staff had already left. When I walked outside, I saw that only a few vehicles were left in the garage. That was when I realized that many people had gone home.
At that point, I started thinking of going home myself. I prepared myself and waited a little. I decided to try finishing one of the short movies I was watching. While watching it, our Wi-Fi connection suddenly went off. When I tried to figure out what happened, I noticed there was an issue with the power supply.

That was the moment I decided it was time to go home.
I took my book and my biro, placed the biro properly in my pocket, picked up my book, and stood up. Immediately I did that, one of my close friends and colleagues noticed and asked me if I was leaving. I told her yes. She seemed like she wanted to follow me, but she hadn’t fully made up her mind yet. She hesitated while I made my move, crossed the door, and closed it behind me.

I walked straight out of the building, through the gate, and headed home.
On my way, I saw our admin officer a woman who is in charge of keeping records of attendance. She usually takes that role very seriously. But today, she was surprisingly jovial. She asked me a casual question that didn’t even concern work or the time I was leaving. I answered her honestly, and we went our separate ways.
I got home and handled a few things. I decided to take my time, settle in the room, and then move to the other room to write down how my day went.

Although I still have some time left till nightfall, I just wanted to share how my day went today.
