The Diary Game|| I Did The Most Beautiful Things Today...[2nd February 2026]
Today was a beautiful day for me. A day I chose to visit my friend who had travelled some long distance journey to return home. Really it was such a beautiful thing to see her again but I didn't just wait at that we stayed together for a while and had a good time of conversation. There was food so no one was hungry, I wasn't so surprised that she prepared such a delicious food for us because I know that she has been a good cook from the first day we met.
Seeing her this time around was refreshing and looking at her face I could tell that where she's coming from looked good on her. Maybe she had eaten more, drank more or rested more but she actually looked better than before she left.
We spent our time discussing about many things which would help in building up a quality mindset to face what we sure had predicted about the future. Around 1:00 pm, we were together when her phone rang. When she picked it, it was one of her clients, a woman and she's requesting that she pays her a visit at her home and collect the materials she'll be using to work for her.
I waited for her until she was ready and we both left together in the same vehicle, on getting to the place she dropped along the road while I continued my journey. While still on the road to my house, I remembered this friend of mine who had told me the terrible state of her health condition. I decided to drop by at her place to know what's up with her. When I got to her place, I decided not to call her on the phone because I wanted to surprise her.
Walking through the long tarred road in her compound to get to her house, a thought came to my mind “what if she's not at home?”.
I was very sunny yet I decided to not call her in order to maintain the surprise. I walked along the road that stretched from her gate to what seems like walking across two football fields till I finally got to her house.
I knocked on her door the first time and there was no sign anybody was home. The fear in my heart started creeping in, I immediately thought of how long I've walked to have come to this place, somehow I prayed in my heart for her to be around. I knocked the second time and just then I heard a very faint voice from the inside and my heart came alive with joy but I had to be so sure so I knocked a third time. That was when I heard her voice clearly, so I calmed down and in like 15seconds time, she came and unlocked the door.
I thought she was going to be surprised to see me but she said the moment I called her on the phone and learnt that she wasn't doing well, she knew that I would be coming. This statement really got me weak, so there was no surprise. Well, I came inside, we chatted, had some quality time together. She should me the boil on her leg which happens to be what has caused her so much pain but when asked how she was feeling, she said that she's better and no longer feeling much pains like before.
When we were done chatting, we switched to watching movies together. We continued watching our movies till it started raining heavily outside and around 6:58pm in the evening the rain has stopped so I rose up from the bed I was lying on while watching movie and we both left. She followed me till we went across her gate and I entered a vehicle and went home while she headed to the market to buy something to cook with.
I really enjoyed my day and I mostly loved the fact that I spent it with those whom I really cared about.
