How I Care About ......(Week #5: Kids Around Me) Contest Series

Hello friends,

It is a pleasure to appear before this community today to relate with my friends in this community.

I have missed making quality post in this great community and I am glad that I have the opportunity to participate in this great contest hosted in this community.

This contest is a very good one that aims to help us learn and share how we take care of kids in our area.

I have some personal experience to share and I believe I will learn from the post of others too, please follow along as I begin my explanation.

First of all, I must admit that it is not easy to care for kids, caring for kids can be difficult at times and time consuming.

The care you give to kids now most times determine the kind of person they grow up to be.

There are different ways I care for the kids around me, some of them are:

• TEACH THEM HOW TO PRAY:

The best gift one can give a kid is to help them develop a close relationship with their creator.

Cultivating a special relationship with their creator will help bring lots of blessings to them and also shape their way of life.

Most times, whenever the kids in my area come to play with my younger brother, I ensure to teach them about their creator and I teach them regularly how to pray.

Another way I care for the kids around me is by getting them gifts items.

Most kids love sweet, some biscuits and others chocolate, and since I am a fan of football I do get them football which I join them in playing once in a while.

This has really help to draw them to me as kids(male) loves playing football a lot.

Inasmuch that I love taking care of kids in my vicinity, I cannot pay a deaf ear to my household responsibilities.

I have many other pile of works that should be done and as such I cannot be taking care of the kids always.

Even if I want to, I cannot always visit them just to take care of them, their parents will begin to think otherwise and even my agemates will begin to think otherwise.

I take care of kids whenever it is necessary, for example if their parents is not around then I can happily take good care of such kid until the arrival of his parent.

To answer this question, there is no specific time I allocate to taking care of kids.

One thing I have noticed from kids is that they love a friendly environment where they won't be flogged for every mistake they make.

I try to create that environment for them, I ensure that they see me as a friend and always want to play with me.

Another thing I do for kids is that I buy lots of gifts for them.

The kids in my vicinity loves youghurt so much and I ensure to get it for them whenever they visit me.

Sometimes, I might not have enough money to get enough youghurt that will go round, at this point, I try to help them see the Importance of sharing by sharing the little I was able to get amongst them.

Another thing I do to care for them is to ensure they are physically fit.

Parents today don't really care if their kids are physically fit or not, they are busy ensuring that they provide materially for the kids.

To ensure they are fit, I do invite them once in a while and organize a very interesting football game amongst them and this has helped increased their fitness.

I don't think it is my responsibility to take care of the kids in my environment.
I decided to take care of the kids in my environment because of the love I have for children.

And I must admit, sometimes I fail to care for these kids and this is usually because I have other pressing needs to fill.

For example, I cannot devote the time I spend in making quality post on steemit to playing with the kids.

There are other numerous activities that take my time and prevent me from always taking care of the kids.

There is no significant result that result from me failing to take care of the kids.

This is so because their parents are always there to fill up that space, the only thing that could possibly result from me failing to take care of them is that, they may begin to miss me.

• COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

One very Importance of caring for kids is that it helps to build their communication skills.

Many adults that posses a poor communication skill today was like this became they were not properly cared for at a tender age.

• BOOST SELF-CONFIDENCE:

Properly taking care of kids helps them to build their self confidence in the society.

It is very important for a kid to be self confident and bold as this quality will help him reject bad associates.

• EXPERIENCE:

History has it that kids that were well taken care of happens to be smarter and more experienced than kids that were neglected.

Taking care of kids usually help them gain more experience and as such enable them make wise life decisions.

• IMPROVED HEALTH:

This benefit happens to be one of the most important benefit of taking care of a kid.

Giving a kid proper care and attention helps to improve the health of such child, he will always be physically clean and fit.

As I earlier explained, caring for the kids in my environment is not an act I am obligated to do, it is something I do out of freewill and with love at heart.

At such, I don't really need the assistance of anyone, so I can say that no one assists me to care for the kids.

It is very important that we care for the kids in the environment and I appreciate the host of this contest for this wonderful innitiative.

It is indeed worth it to spend our time to take care of kids.
