TEACHING STRATEGIES IN ACTION

Last week, my Master Teacher asked me to sit on her class. She asked me to be one of the observers while she is delivering her lesson on that day. Together with me is a colleague same major with me and with the principal. It was already their agreement that once a master teacher will be observed, there should be other 2 teachers giving them comments.

Observing them provides a great opportunity for us to learn effective teaching strategies delivered by our master teacher. This observation is one of a kind and it is my first time to observe our head. In this manner we were be able to learn something from the demonstration.

During the discussion, the teacher used variety if methods such as questioning, groupings and some real-life scenarios that relate to the topic. It is for the student to participate all throughout the discussion. Clear explanations was given by out MT, timely feedback whenever the student has answers or comments, and a supportive environment.

The observation highlighted tge practical teaching techniques and is so important to us regular teachers.
