Birthday gift to my little princess entry by@latifah09

Hello my dear friends in steem it kids. Hope everyone is doing well. Am also doing fine just been busy with exams and now internship but I know with God everything will get done smoothly.

Yesterday, it was a great day for my little star who just turned to five years of age. She was eagerly waiting for her birthday this time because I promised to make a beautiful dress for her to wear on her day. And she also waited very badly to cut her cake. It was a small celebration just to make her feel better.

I don't live with her but they reminded me that Amirah was seriously asking for me. I hadn't finished the dress very well because I wanted to put flowers and head band at least. I spent like half of my night figuring out how to do the flower I wanted, fortunately, I did it well with the head band with the help of YouTube of course.

Here is the way I made a dress for my little friend.
First of all, I visited YouTube to find out a dress with a beautiful design and then learned how how to make it.
Things I needed;
_ yarns
_a 3mm hook.
_ tape measure

I first tackled the chest part because the dress was to be made from up to downwards. This is how it looks like,

After that I joined it and extended it down a little.

As I planned to use two colours, it was the time to put on a new one. I choose a light colour and a dark one because they could bring out the design I wanted.

The downer part had a flower pattern. And used.two rows for each colour moving round as I planned. The design crossed my mind and I tried it immediately. Here is how it looks like;

I also planned to put on at least one flower Infront to be elegant.

It took some good time to finish the dress but fortunately, I managed to bring out the design I wanted. Sending it to the birthday girl and they me that the happiness was on high level. It also made me happy because I had fulfilled what I promised her even though I was busy.

Hope you also made someone happy especially young children ☺️ because for me that is where I derive my smile.
