Diary game: Satisfying my sharwama cravings with a movie night ( 10/1/2026)
Hello, my dear Steemians, trust you are all good. It is the weekend, when most people get to rest after a busy week of work.
I woke up craving shawarma today, so I decided to make it by myself. I actually enjoy cooking, and it makes me happy, but not every time, though.
But whenever I am craving for something, I always make sure I get it 😂. Eating out is not really my thing unless I have to.
I don't really have many ingredients at home for the shawarma, but I will be making use of what I have at home.
Ingredients for what I will use:
- Cabbage
- Parsley leaves (instead of carrots)
- 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise
- Two small bowls of Greek yoghurt
- My leftover cooked chicken
- 1 spoon of paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon of chilli powder
- Tortilla wrap
- A pinch of salt
Preparation:
All I did was chop my cabbage and parsley into the sizes I wanted. I didn't have carrots at home; that's why I added parsley to it. After that, I shredded the leftover cooked chicken that I had.
For the dressing:
I made use of two bowls of Greek yoghurt and a small amount of mayonnaise with paprika, salt and chilli pepper.
I didn't use too much mayonnaise because I want it to be as healthy as possible.
I moved to mixing my shredded chicken, cabbage, and parsley with the dressing but not all of it.
I saved some of it for the tortilla wrap. I filled everything in my tortilla bit by bit till I wrapped everything up like a proper shawarma should be.
After that I grilled it in a pan to give me that toasty taste, and that was all, so easy and simple to make.
To be able to enjoy my shawarma, well, then I thought of watching a movie. There was this trendy movie online that people have been talking about, so I decided to watch it while eating my shawarma.
I will be talking about the movie next time. I really love how my shawarma tastes. Even though the ingredients were complete, I still enjoy it, and the girl in me is so happy.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed it.
