Greetings dear community, first of all I apologize to you for not presenting my video of classes much earlier but I currently have the. COVID - 19 And it has not been easy for me to deal with this, sometimes I feel good and sometimes I don't, but I will go step by step overcoming it. I am telling you this because I want to give you a special message in this post. Music is wonderful and it can make us overcome many things, especially if we are close to God, so since yesterday I was able to prepare this special video for all the children of the Community and all young people who want to continue learning about music.
Saludos querida comunidad, ante todo me disculpo con ustedes por no presentar mi video de clases mucho antes pero actualmente tengo el. COVID - 19 Y no ha sido fácil para mi poder lidiar con esto, a veces me siento bien y otras no, pero iré paso a paso superándolo. Les cuento esto porque quiero darles un mensaje especial en esta publicación. La música es maravillosa y puede lograr que podamos superar mucjas cosas, mas aún si estamos cerca de Dios, asi que desde ayer pude preparar este video especial para todos los niños de la Comunidad y todosblos jóvenes quieran seguir aprendiendo de la música.
For today I want to talk to you about a very special instrument which has been the heritage and representation of our beautiful country Venezuela. This instrument is the Four. The cuatro has a special characteristic sound, and with it we can perform many beautiful songs. During the years that I have been educating in music, I had the experience of hearing that many children in my community still did not know this instrument, that impressed me a lot, so in the school where I teach I have dedicated myself to teaching children how this instrument is composed and also how they can play it. Playing the cuatro is very simple, however if you study it more thoroughly you can realize that you can play many important works, so it also has its degree of complexity.
Para el día de hoy quiero hablarles sobre un instrumento muy especial el cual ha sido patrimonio y representación de nuestro bello país Venezuela. Este instrumento es el Cuatro. El cuatro tiene un sonido característico especial, y con el podemos interpretar muchas canciones hermosas. Durante los años que he estado educando en la música, viví la experiencia de escuchar que muchos niños de mi país aún no conocían este instrumento, eso me impresionó mucho, así que en el colegio donde doy clases me he dedicado a enseñarle a los niños como está compuesto este instrumento y también cómo pueden tocarlo. Tocar el cuatro es muy sencillo, sin embargo si lo estudias más a fondo te puedes dar cuenta que puedes tocar muchas obras importantes, así que también tiene su grado de complejidad.

Head.
The head or pegbox is very important because it is the part where the pegs are held, if it did not exist we could not give full tuning to all its strings.
Cabeza
La cabeza o clavijero es muy importante porque es la parte de donde se sostienen las clavijas, si esta no existiera no pudiéramos darle afinación completa a todas sus cuerdas.
Pegs
The pegs are very firm pieces that are held in the head. There are four pegs and they are used to hold the strings of the cuatro, for this instrument only 4 are used.
Clavijas
Las clavijas son piezas muy firmes que van sostenidas en la cabeza. Existen cuatro clavijas y se usan para sujetar las cuerdas del cuatro, para este instrumento sólo se usan 4.
Capo
The capos are used to be able to adapt the tones in the cuatro. Many times we also use them with a technique where we use our fingers to change the tone.
Las cejillas se utilizan para poder adaptar los tonos en el cuatro. Muchas veces las usamos también con una técnica en donde usamos nuestros dedos para cambiar el tono.
Fingerboard or neck
The fingerboard or neck is where the frets are located, in it we can use our strength and techniques when playing the different tones of our harmony or favorite song.
Diapasón o Mástil
El diapasón o mástil es donde están ubicados los trastes, en él podemos usar nuestra fuerza y técnicas al tocar los diferentes tonos de nuestra armonía o canción preferida.
Frets
Frets are metal divisions that are used to locate tones, either ascending or descending. They also serve as a guide to know what key each song is in.
Trastes
Los trastes son divisiones de metal que se usan para poder ubicar los tonos, bien sea de manera ascendentes o descendentes. También nos sirven de guía para saber en que tonalidad se encuentra cada canción.
The ropes
In the video that I bring you today I forgot to name them. The strings are made of Nylon thread and with them we can achieve all possible sounds, of course achieving a good tuning on the instrument. With the strings we can manage to play our favorite songs.
Cuerdas.
En el video que les traigo hoy olvidé nombrarlas. Las cuerdas están hechas de hilo Nailon y con ellas podemos lograr todos los sonidos posibles, por supuesto logrando una buena afinación en el instrumento. Con las cuerdas podemos lograr tocar nuestras canciones favoritas.
Sounding board.
In it we can also see the rings or arches that give the four a curved shape. All the sounds that we emit with the strings when we play a song are concentrated in the soundboard. It is impressive how the sound in this instrument and all its harmony when we play, it is beautiful to know it and explore how much we can play.
Caja de resonancia
En ella también podemos ver los aros o arcos que le dan la forma curva al cuatro. En la caja de resonancia se concentran todos los sonidos que emitimos con las cuerdas cuando tocamos una canción. Es impresionante como se mantiene el sonido en este instrumento y toda su armonía cuando tocamos, es hermoso conocerlo y explorar que tanto podemos tocar.
Mouth
The Mouth is the circle that you can see near the strings, the resonance box helps us project the sounds through this hole, leaving us a pleasant and captivating sound.
Boca
La Boca es el círculo que pueden ver cerca de las cuerdas, la caja de resonancia nos ayuda a proyectar los sonidos por este orificio, dejándonos un sonido agradable y cautivador.
Bridge
The bridge is a small rectangular adaptation made of wood from which the strings are held and adapted by means of a nut which is made of bone. This gives more support to the strings, managing to fit them through a few small knots, the necessary ones to be made to give more strength to the string.
Puente
El puente es una adaptación rectangular pequeña construida con maderade donde se sostienen y adaptan las cuerdas mediante una cejilla la cual está hecha cin hueso. Esto le da más soporte a las cuerdas logrando encajarlas mediante unos nudos pequeños, los ciales es necesario hacerlos para darle más fuerza a la cuerda.
Tapa Superior
It is the cover that is used in the front part, it is also part of the harmonic box, since the mouth is close to it, which is where we can hear all the sounds. On the top cover we can also make beats while we play.
Tapa superior.
Es la tapa que se usa en la parte delantera, también forma parte de la caja armónica, ya que en ella está cerca la boca, que es por donde podemos escuchar todos los sonidos. En la tapa superior también podemos hacer ritmos mientras tocamos.
